🌱 GARDENING CLUB 🌱

Our Gardening Club is loving all the new veggies, sprouts, and signs of spring popping up in the garden!

Another fun and productive morning was enjoyed by our budding gardeners. It's wonderful to see so many young and older green thumbs working together, caring for our garden, and sharing their love of growing.

🌟✨ KINDY ASSEMBLY JOY ✨🌟

What a delight it was to celebrate our wonderful Kindergarten students at their assembly on Friday.

Our youngest learners shone with confidence, enthusiasm and courage as they shared their learning and talents with us. We enjoyed a beautiful re-enactment of The Good Shepherd and loved hearing about the friendships they have formed and the many exciting experiences they have enjoyed throughout the year. The students proudly showcased their learning in Maths, English and Writing, demonstrating just how much they have grown since the beginning of Kindergarten.

We are incredibly proud of our Kindy students and extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated Kindergarten teachers for their care, guidance and hard work in helping our children flourish every day. πŸ’™βœ¨

🌟 FATHER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS 🌟

Last Friday, our hearts were full as we celebrated the wonderful fathers and father figures in our school community.

We began the morning with a delicious breakfast and coffee from the coffee van, sharing plenty of laughter and conversation. A huge thank you to our amazing Year 4 mums for generously donating their time and effort to make the morning so special.

Our fathers and father figures then visited the classrooms to see the fantastic learning that has taken place this year and receive some special Fathers' Day artwork created by the children.
The celebrations concluded at The Light of Christ Centre with a beautiful, reflective, and joy-filled liturgy led by our Year 3 students, along with a lovely song from Kindergarten.

Thank you to our staff, parents, and students who helped make the day so memorable. We hope all our fathers and father figures felt truly celebrated and appreciated. πŸ’™

⚑ ELECTRICITY SAFETY WEEK ⚑

On Monday, representatives from Ausgrid visited our Stage 3 students as part of Electricity Safety Week. Students learned valuable information about staying safe around electricity, both at home and in the community.

A highlight of the visit was seeing some students dress in protective safety gear, helping to demonstrate the important role safety plays when working around power sources.
Thank you to Ausgrid for sharing this engaging and informative presentation with our students! πŸ’‘πŸ˜Š

πŸ’™πŸ™ VISIT TO THE RELIC OF SAINT CARLO ACUTIS βœ¨πŸ™

Today, our Year 6 students had the special opportunity to visit the relic of Saint Carlo Acutis at The Light of Christ Centre alongside the senior students from St Leo's College.

It was a reverent and meaningful experience, providing time for prayer, reflection, and learning about the life of this inspiring young saint, whose love of the Eucharist continues to touch people around the world.

The children wrote prayers that will travel with the relic. We feel incredibly blessed to have been part of this special visit as the relic journeys across Australia, bringing communities together in faith and drawing hearts closer to Christ.

βœ¨πŸ’™ WELLBEING WEEK WRAP UP πŸ’™βœ¨

What a beautiful week we've shared as we celebrated Wellbeing Week, focusing on the power of kindness, connection, and taking care of one another.

We started the week off strong with an onsite coffee van for all our staff, parents and parish friends - thank you P&F!
Throughout the week, our classrooms were buzzing with positivity as students filled their Kindness Jars with thoughtful messages and intentions. We were also grateful for visits from Sister Katherine and Elisha, who guided our students through peaceful meditation, prayer, and moments of quiet reflection. Our buddies got to hang out with each other creating friendships and plenty of smiles across the playground.

Students also put their kindness into action by creating heartfelt Good Luck Cards for our Year 12 friends at St Leo's as they prepare to conclude their schooling journey and begin an exciting new chapter.

Our staff were treated to a delicious hot chips lunch, and we also took time to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible contribution of our Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), whose care, dedication, and support make a difference in the lives of our students every day.

As Wellbeing Week comes to a close, we are reminded that kindness is often found in the simplest acts: a smile, a helping hand, a kind word, or taking a moment to be present for others.πŸ’™βœ¨

VISIT FROM OUR EARLY LEARNING CENTRE FRIENDS

It was wonderful to welcome our young friends from the Early Learning Centre this week for story time with Mrs Biok and a fun arts and crafts session.

The children enjoyed spending time together, and our Year 3 students did a fantastic job engaging with and supporting the activities. Thank you to everyone who helped make the visit so special.

We can't wait to see our little friends again soon! βœ¨πŸ“šπŸŽ¨πŸ’›

🌟 Year 6 and Year 1 Parish Family Mass 🌟

How wonderful it was to come together on Sunday with our Year 6 and Year 1 families as we celebrated Mass as a Parish community.

It was an especially exciting morning as our school Altar Servers participated in the Mass and were officially welcomed into the Parish community. We are so proud of these students and the commitment they have shown in serving.

There was a beautiful sense of connection throughout the celebration, with current students and even former students joining together in the choir. What a blessing it is to see these friendships and faith connections continue to grow.

A heartfelt thank you to Father Huy for leading such a special celebration and for the time, care, and dedication he has given behind the scenes in training our Altar Servers. We are incredibly grateful and blessed for his support and guidance.

Seeing our young people actively serving in the parish is a beautiful reminder of the strength of our faith community and the joy of coming together to celebrate Christ. πŸ’™πŸ™β›ͺ✨

YEAR 4 AWESOME ASSEMBLY

A huge thank you to our amazing Year 4 students for presenting such a fantastic assembly and sharing their learning journey with us.

From fascinating facts about Ned Kelly, to the adventurous life of horse loving Bindi, and highlights from their recent Rocks Excursion, it was wonderful to see the students proudly showcasing all they have been learning this year.

It was especially heartwarming to hear about their Religious Education studies and to celebrate the many students who have recently received their First Holy Communion.

The highlight of the assembly was undoubtedly their lively and creative song about Maths and angles. It was fun, engaging, and had everyone smiling! πŸŽΆπŸ“

Congratulations, Year 4 and your hardworking teachers, on an informative, entertaining, and thoroughly enjoyable assembly.
We are so proud of you!
