🍦 Ice Cream Fundraiser – Books on Blankets 🍦

Join us on Friday 28 August for our Books on Blankets Picnic from 12:50 PM! 📚🧺

Parents and family members are warmly invited to come along, relax and enjoy sharing a book with your child — whether you are reading to them or being read to. ❤️📖

To make the afternoon even sweeter, we will be holding an Ice Cream Fundraiser! 🍦

Waikiki PS Clubs

We are excited to offer a range of Waikiki PS Clubs for our students! These clubs provide students with opportunities to have fun, build friendships, develop new skills and enjoy being active before the school day begins.

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff who generously give up their own time before school to run these clubs. Their commitment allows our students to access these additional opportunities, and we greatly appreciate the time and effort they put in.

🌧️ A quick reminder about cancellations

Where possible, we will communicate with families if a club needs to be cancelled. However, we ask for your understanding that occasionally cancellations may occur at short notice. This includes wet weather and also when the oval is being mowed, which often occurs with no prior warning to the school.

If it is raining during the scheduled morning club time, please assume that the club is cancelled unless you receive communication from the school advising otherwise.

🏃‍♂️ Introducing Oval Sports!

After consulting with our students, we have decided to make a change to Running Club. Students told us they wanted more variety and greater freedom to choose how they participate in physical activity. As a result, Running Club has now become Oval Sports! 🏀⚽🏃‍♀️Oval Sports will give students the opportunity to choose from a range of activities and enjoy being active in ways that interest them. We look forward to seeing our students getting involved, having fun and making the most of these fantastic opportunities! 💙💛

📚 BOOK WEEK AT WAIKIKI PRIMARY SCHOOL! 📚

We are excited to celebrate Book Week during Week 6, Monday 24 August – Friday 28 August! 🎉📖

👗 Book Week Parade – Monday 24 August
Join us from 8:50am in the Undercover Area as we celebrate our favourite books and characters! Students, staff and parents are invited to come dressed in their favourite Book Week costume.

🧺 Books on Blankets Picnic – Friday 28 August
Join us from 12:50pm – 1:40pm for our Books on Blankets picnic. Families are warmly invited to bring along a picnic blanket, relax and enjoy some reading together.

We can't wait to see our school community come together to celebrate the joy of reading! 📚❤️
