🌟CHAMPIONS ON THE POM FLOOR🌟| Congratulations to our Pride Cheer Pom Dance team, who recently took out 1st Place in the Scholastic Pom Division at the AASCF All Star Battle! 🏆✨
Their hard work, dedication, and team spirit were on full display, and we couldn't be prouder of this outstanding achievement.

SCIENCE WEEK🔬| A few of the staff who helped kick off Science Week by dressing as 'their favourite element'.
The challenge is on for students to do the same on Thursday, among a range of other activities this week.

ST LEO'S ROCKS ON🎸🎼🎤| Last Thursday, St Leo’s CAPA Ensembles competed at the Hawkesbury Music Eisteddfod in Windsor across the Rock Band, Concert Band and Guitar Ensemble sections.
It was a very successful day, with every St Leo’s ensemble receiving a placing or commendation!
Our Rock Band Program achieved an incredible clean sweep, with the Year 10 Rock Band placing third, Year 9 placing second, and the Year 11 Rock Band taking out first place for the second year in a row.
The Lions Concert Band received a Highly Commended in a very competitive section featuring ensembles from independent, Catholic and public schools, while our Guitar Ensemble also secured first place for the second consecutive year.
Well done to all our ensembles!👏🏼
A special thank you to Mr Adam Tonkins for the incredible work he has done with the Lions Concert Band in his relatively short time conducting the ensemble, and to Ms Barraket for coming along to support our students.
Thank you also to Mr Bell (the Bringer of Rock) for his coordination of all things CAPA, to Ms Voss for organising the excursion, and to our staff, College leadership and parents for their continued support of the St Leo’s CAPA Programs.

YEAR 8 CAMP⛺| Year 8 have had a fabulous week at Tea Gardens! Here are just a few highlights.

ROAD SAFETY HITS HOME🛻| Year 10 today attended the powerful B Street Smart road safety education sessions at Sydney Olympic Park.
B Street Smart is Australia's largest youth road safety event, created by the Westmead Hospital Trauma Department to educate high school students on safe driving behaviour. The flagship NSW event is held annually, featuring live crash re-enactments, survivor stories, and emergency services exhibits to really hit home these life-saving messages to our young people. 🙏🏻

VIRTUAL CHEMISTRY🥽🧪| Last week, our Year 12 Chemistry students explored molecular structures and polymers in three dimensions – through an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) experience delivered by edgedVR.
Using VR technology, students were able to construct, manipulate and examine molecular models, helping them visualise complex Chemistry concepts in an interactive and engaging way. The experience reinforced their Stage 6 classroom learning while introducing them to technology used across scientific research, tertiary education and STEM industries.
'It was fantastic to see students so immersed in their learning and enthusiastic about exploring Chemistry in a new and interactive way' said Mr Gould, our Leader of Learning – Science.
Thank you to Mr Gould, and to Rosanna Cotino and Bill Edwards from edgedVR, for bringing this engaging STEM learning experience to life.
This activity was coordinated through the CSBB Pathways & Partnerships Program, connecting curriculum learning with real-world technologies and future career possibilities.

ALUMNI NEWS⚽️ | A dream debut for Leo's Alumni Lachie Rose in the Scottish Premier League, scoring for new club Dundee United. Congratulations Lachie. We wish you every success for the season ahead.

A massive congratulations to Football NSW junior Lachlan Rose on scoring on his Scottish Premiership debut for Dundee United Football Club, finding the net in a 1-1 draw against Rangers FC to score the opening goal of the 26/27 Scottish Premiership season👏

Lachlan's journey through the Football NSW pathway began with Castle Hill United FC in 2003 before progressing through the junior ranks at Manly United FC, NWS Spirit FC and Blacktown City FC.

At just 19 years of age, Lachlan got his first taste of senior football with Blacktown Spartans Football Club in the then NPL 2 competition, now known as Football NSW League One Men's, during the 2019 season. That same year, he also starred in the Futsal Premier League 2, scoring 22 goals for Sydney City Eagles Futsal Club.

Lachlan earned a move to Macarthur FC ahead of the club's inaugural A-League Men season in 2020 before joining the Newcastle Jets in 2024. Last season, he scored eight goals and recorded one assist in 30 appearances across all competitions, helping the Jets lift the Australia Cup and the Premiers Plate🏆

Now taking his talents to Scotland, Lachlan has made the perfect start to life at Dundee United.
