🌟 Celebrating Quality in Early Learning! 🌟

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we use internationally recognised quality assessment tools known as ECQRS-EC and SSTEW. These tools help us reflect on the quality of children's learning experiences, wellbeing, educator interactions, and the environment we provide.

Importantly, children are not tested or assessed. Instead, these tools help us review and strengthen our practices to ensure every child experiences meaningful learning, nurturing relationships, inclusion, confidence-building opportunities, and support to think, communicate, problem-solve, and thrive.

We're incredibly proud to share that we have achieved our Preschool 2 room Stretch Target this year! πŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Amy & Mia for their dedication to the children's learning. This achievement reflects our team's dedication to creating engaging learning experiences, strong relationships, and a high-quality environment where children can learn and grow through play.

Shaheda & Tracy also highly for the Preschool 1 and the opportunities they provided for the children.

While we're celebrating this milestone, our focus remains the same: continually reflecting, learning, and improving to provide the very best outcomes for children and families. πŸ’š

Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the many ways we care for children each day. From following safe sleep practices and using approved cots, to completing visual checks every 5 minutes, our educators take every step to help children rest safely and comfortably.

We also work closely with families to understand each child's individual sleep routine, because feeling safe, settled and well-rested helps children learn, grow and thrive.

πŸ’œ Safe sleep is everyone's responsibility, and it's always a priority.

Whether your child is already attending early learning, getting ready to start, or you're still exploring your options, it's natural to have questions.

πŸ’ Will my child feel safe and supported? πŸ’ How will they cope with new experiences and changes? πŸ’ What can I do to help them feel confident and settled?

Listen to Episode 1 of What I Wish I Knew... The Early Learning Guide podcast, with child development expert Dr Billy Garvey as he explains why transitions are such an important part of childhood and how strong, supportive relationships help children navigate change with confidence.

From starting early learning to moving rooms, making new friends or tackling other big milestones, transitions are a normal part of growing up. When children feel safe, supported and connected, they're more likely to embrace new experiences, build confidence and develop the resilience they need to thrive.

Today, we celebrated our incredible educators for Early Childhood Educators' Day. Our team was spoiled with a scavenger hunt, thoughtful gifts, and delicious treats.

While the celebrations were wonderful, it was the heartfelt messages of appreciation and gratitude from our children and families that meant the most. Your kind words remind us of the difference our educators make every day.

Thank you to our amazing team for your dedication, passion, and the care you provide to the children in your care each and every day. We are so grateful for all that you do. πŸ’›

Ever had one of those "What should I be doing with my child?" moments? You might already have the answer at home.

Earlier this year, every Goodstart family received a What & When for Families guide for each child. If it's been tucked away in a drawer since then, now might be the perfect time to pull it back out.

The guide is packed with simple, play-based activities that support your child's learning and development at home. Best of all, it's written in your child's voice, with ideas tailored to their age and developmental stage.

From singing songs with babies and playing peek-a-boo, to "I Spy" games, storytelling and treasure hunts with older children, the activities are designed to fit naturally into everyday moments you already share together.

We know learning doesn't only happen in the classroom. Those small moments at home can help build big communication, language and literacy skills.

Take another look through your What & When for Families guide to explore age-appropriate activities and learning ideas you can try together.

πŸ’› Sometimes the best learning resource is the one you already have at home.

Welcome to our Arctic Adventure Book Fair!

A special thank you to Sarah, our Administration Assistant, who has created a magical Arctic-themed welcome for the children as they enter the centre.
The children have enjoyed helping to create the decorations and have loved following the polar bear footprints, searching for hidden Arctic creatures among the books, and most of all, exploring the exciting range of stories and choosing their favourite books.
Every purchase made at the Book Fair helps support our centre by providing funds to purchase even more books for our learning environment, fostering a continued love of reading and literacy for all children.
Thank you for supporting our Arctic Adventure Book Fair and helping us grow our collection of wonderful books. πŸ»β€β„οΈπŸ“š
