Did you know “Gudah” means “baby” or “child” in Wiradjuri language? This is why our Nursery space is called the Gudah Room.

Together, our leadership team brings an incredible 46 years of experience with Goodstart. Their knowledge, dedication, and genuine passion for early childhood education help create the warm and caring community that makes our centre so special.

Ronni – Centre Director
Ronni has proudly led our Morgan Street Centre for the past 11 years and has been part of the Goodstart family for 22 years. She is passionate about creating a centre where every child, family, and educator feels welcomed, valued, and supported from the moment they walk through the door. Ronni has a wonderful ability to build genuine, trusting relationships with families, ensuring they feel cared for, listened to, and supported throughout their early learning journey. Her warm, approachable nature and commitment to fostering a strong sense of community help create a centre where everyone feels they belong and where children can confidently learn, grow, and thrive.

Zoe - Assistant Director
As the longest standing educator at our Morgan Street centre, Zoe has been a cherished member of our team for 12 years. Throughout her time with us, she has built genuine, lasting relationships with children, families, and colleagues, becoming a familiar and trusted face within our centre community. Her kind and nurturing nature, combined with her wealth of experience and passion for early childhood education, helps create the warm, welcoming environment that makes our centre feel like a home away from home.

Steph – Educational Leader
Steph has been a valued member of our Morgan Street team for the past 3 years and has been part of the Goodstart family for 12 years. As our Educational Leader, she is passionate about inspiring and supporting our educators to provide meaningful, engaging learning experiences for every child. Steph leads with kindness, encouragement, and a genuine love for early childhood education, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. Her warm and approachable nature helps create a nurturing environment where children, families, and educators all feel supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.

When we read with a child, we’re doing far more than sharing a story. We’re building the foundations for language, confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

Decades of research shows that children who are read to regularly:

Hearing rich varied language in books exposes children to far more words than everyday conversation alone. This growing vocabulary helps them understand, communicate and make sense of the world.

Tonight our team participated in a live webinar with Phoenix support.

It was part one of professional development around the phoenix cups.

Tonight was a discussion on the power of our thoughts and mindset, the way we can hypnotise us to believe our perception on how and why things occur. it’s the persuasion of what we think affects how we feel and influences the way we react or behave.

Its identifying the unhelpful thinking styles we can find we use as a default and the need to not allow them too much power to allow us to continue to move forward in a positive light
