A friendly reminder that casual clothes still need to be school appropriate. Please make sure clothing is respectful and does not include offensive language, images or messages.

🤧 Flu Season Is Here – Let’s Keep Our Community Healthy!

Flu season is upon us, and we all have a part to play in keeping our students, staff and families healthy. 💙

If your child is unwell, please keep them at home until they are feeling better and are well enough to return to school. This helps prevent the spread of influenza and other nasty bugs throughout our school community.

Please remind children to:
🧼 Wash their hands regularly
🤧 Cover coughs and sneezes with their elbow or a tissue
🗑️ Put tissues straight in the bin
💧 Avoid sharing drink bottles, food or utensils
🏠 Stay home when they are sick

We know it can be tricky when children are keen to get back to school, but sometimes the best medicine is a day or two at home, plenty of rest and a little extra TLC. ❤️

One sick child at home is much better than an entire classroom coming down with the lurgy!

YEAR 6 GRADUATION MEMENTOS

It is soon to be that time, where your child will graduate from primary school. Each year, students are offered a memento to have signed by their classmates and teachers as a memory to have and take with them.

We need to place the order for these items promptly to ensure they arrive on time. This year we are going digital and will be using the Spriggy App for all orders and payments.

Students have the option to choose from the following; a bear, a football, a soccer ball, an owl, a dog or a koala.

Please ensure orders are placed before September 23rd.

FUNDRAISING EVENT BAKERY PIE DRIVE

Please help make our pie drive a success and share with family and friends. All pies are made fresh by Gawler South Bakery and can also be frozen. Ordering and Payments are made through the Spriggy App.

What does it mean to be a school leader?

At Virginia Primary School, leadership is about so much more than titles... although we do wear quite a few hats! 🎩🎓👷‍♀️ (And occasionally referee hats too!)

It's our Principal, Mrs Pounendis, our Deputy Principal, Miss Thuy, and our dedicated leaders in Literacy – Mrs Attewell, Maths – Mr Page, and Wellbeing & Inclusion – Ms Botchen, working together every day to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

On any given day you'll find them solving problems before breakfast, celebrating student achievements, supporting staff, partnering with families, answering a million questions, finding lost jumpers, fixing technology that mysteriously "was working five minutes ago," and somehow still making time to visit classrooms and share a smile.

Behind every great school is a leadership team that leads with purpose, compassion, teamwork... and probably a strong cup of coffee! ☕😊
