🕺✨ What a fantastic night at our School Disco last Friday 💃🎉

A huge thank you to our incredible staff and volunteers who helped make the evening such a success.

The dance floor was buzzing from start to finish as students showed off their best moves, enjoyed time with friends and created memories that will last a lifetime.

A special shout-out to the amazing DJ Candi, who kept the energy high all night long with an awesome mix of music, games, and fun! 🎶🎤

The smiles, laughter and excitement around the room were a true reflection of the wonderful spirit of our St Rita’s community.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the night so special.

We can't wait to do it all again next year! 🪩✨

The MET East Regional semi-final was played on Friday afternoon with St Rita's taking on Rochdale State School in a thrilling end-to-end contest.

Rochdale made a fast start, opening the scoring early in the match. St Rita's responded immediately, with Emmanuel curling a direct corner into the back of the net to level the scores in spectacular fashion.

Both sides continued to create chances in an entertaining first half, but it was Rochdale who struck just before the halftime whistle to take a narrow 2–1 lead into the break.

St Rita's came out firing in the second half and continued to take the game to Rochdale. The boys were rewarded for their attacking intent when Ethan found the back of the net to bring St Rita's within one goal and keep the contest alive.

Despite St Rita's relentless pressure, Rochdale capitalised on their chances and added two second-half goals to secure a hard-fought 4–2 victory. Between the posts, Blake was simply outstanding producing a string of remarkable saves throughout the match to keep St Rita's in the contest and giving his teammates every chance until the final whistle.

Although the result brought our MET East Regional Playoff campaign to an end, the boys can be incredibly proud of their efforts throughout the competition.

They displayed outstanding resilience, teamwork and determination against quality opposition and represented St Rita's with great pride.

Congratulations to Rochdale State School, and we wish them all the best for the remainder of the competition.

📚✝️ Exploring the Symbols of St Rita’s! ✝️📚

Our 1K students recently visited the school office as part of their Religion lesson on symbols and their meaning. During their visit, they explored our logos and sharing their thoughts on what each symbol represents and how they reflect our school community.

The students impressed us with their insightful ideas, identifying symbols of faith, learning, community and belonging. It was wonderful to hear how they connected the images and colours in our logos to the values that make St Rita’s such a special place.

⚽️ MET East Regional Playoff – Round 1 Recap ⚽️

Round 1 of the MET East Regional Playoffs was played last Thursday afternoon with our very own St Rita's vs Mt Cotton!!

Our boys flew out of the blocks, with Judson opening the scoring before Ethan doubled the lead from a well-worked corner. St Rita's headed into the halftime break with a deserved 2–0 advantage.

Mt Cotton came out firing in the second half and scored a goal with a stunning strike from outside the box that gave the St Rita's goalkeeper no chance.

The boys responded brilliantly, lifting to another level as Archie produced a fantastic solo run from centre-back before finishing superbly to restore the two-goal buffer.

Mt Cotton grabbed a late second goal and threw everything forward in search of an equaliser, but St Rita's goalkeeper Blake stood tall, producing three outstanding saves to preserve the lead.

The final whistle blew with St Rita's claiming a hard-fought 3–2 victory at Donald Road booking their place in this week's MET East Regional semi-final!
