First Aid for Motorcyclists We simply want to teach you how to save your mates life First Aid for Motorcyclists is a interactive training course developed specifically for riders.

You will learn the vital skills needed to provide effective accident scene management and immediate roadside first aid until emergency services arrive. This is NOT a regular first aid course. Content is practical and totally modified for riders. Training is delivered by highly qualified and experienced first aid instructors who ride. By the end of this practical, hands-on training session you'll have learned how to safely manage an accident scene, when and how to move a casualty in danger or perform emergency helmet removal, provide effective CPR, treat a rider with serious traumatic injuries and steps to prevent accidents occurring in the first place. Topics covered include:

• Emergency Action Plan
• Accident Scene Management
• Moving a Casualty In Danger
• Emergency Helmet Removal
• CPR Practice
• Wounds, Bleeding & Bandaging
• Fractures & Crush Injuries
• Burns, Shock
• Head Neck & Spinal Injuries
• Common Accident Scenarios
• Fatigue and Accident Prevention

We provided non accredited and accredited courses from half a day to 2 day intensive remote first aid and accident management training

🏍️❤️ MOTORCYCLE COMMUNITY DEBRIEF – YOU’RE INVITED

Sometimes you just need to sit down with people who get it.

It’s been a big year for our motorcycle community. There have been some tough moments, and sometimes the best thing we can do is come together, have a feed, share a yarn and spend some time with people who understand what it means to be part of this community.

So we’re putting on a FREE Motorcycle Community Debrief.

This isn't a counselling session.
There’s no pressure to talk.
No expectation to share.
No judgement.

Come along, grab some lunch, have a chat, listen, laugh, or just sit with your fellow riders.

Our facilitator is a motorcycle rider and experienced first responder, with experience in spiritual coaching, life coaching, NLP and grief coaching.

You don't have to explain yourself to people who already understand.

This weekend we had over 30 people attend our training between Western Australia and Victoria ....

These people are valued members of our riding community as they took time out of their day to know how to save your life if you ever come off!

🏍️ RIDE WITH ANXIETY because sometimes getting back on the bike is the hardest part.

First Aid for Motorcyclists Ltd has brought Kim Walker and her specialised training to South Australia, because we believe looking after riders means looking after the whole rider not just what happens when something goes wrong on the road.

We see riders who have been through crashes, close calls, confidence knocks, anxiety and those moments where the bike just doesn’t feel the same anymore. We don’t want people to give up something they love because anxiety has taken over.

That’s why we’re excited to bring Kim’s Ride with Anxiety workshop to SA giving riders practical tools to understand what’s happening, manage the anxiety, rebuild confidence and hopefully find some of that joy in riding again. 💚

Since 2013, we've continued to develop, research, learn, collaborate and improve.

❤️ The wider community

Because we believe the best training doesn't happen when one person decides they know everything.

It happens when knowledge, experience and great minds come together.

Our training is designed around the motorcycle environment.
It's practical.
It's relevant.
It's hands-on.

And it's continually evolving.

And because First Aid for Motorcyclists is a not-for-profit organisation, money is continually put back into the motorcycle and riding community.

We're not here to be the only people doing good work.

If someone else is doing something fantastic?
WE'LL CHEER THEM ON.

MYTH #8

“MY DAUGHTER/SON IS A NURSE/PARAMEDIC.”
Well… bloody fantastic! 👏

You've got someone pretty damn awesome in the family.
And we're certainly not going to argue with that.

But here's the thing…

THEY'RE NOT NECESSARILY GOING TO BE THERE.

When you're out riding, who's beside you?
Your riding mates.
Other road users.
Maybe a complete stranger.

And if something happens, your nurse or paramedic daughter/son might be at work.
They might be at home.
They might be 500 kilometres away.
They might be on the other side of town.

They can't teleport. 😂

And there's another important distinction.

Having a nurse or paramedic in your family doesn't automatically give you their knowledge, skills or experience.

You might know they've told you:
"Don't move them."
"Call an ambulance."
"Put pressure on it."

But knowing a few things you've picked up over the years isn't the same as having practical training and confidence to assess a situation and provide appropriate first aid.

And that's especially important when you're dealing with a motorcycle incident.

There can be:
🏍️ Motorcycle protective equipment
⛑️ Helmets
🚗 Traffic and road hazards
🩸 Significant injuries
🌳 Unusual environments
😨 Shock and panic
🚑 Time waiting for emergency services

This is where preparation matters.

We're not trying to turn you into a paramedic.

We're not trying to replace emergency services.

And we're certainly not suggesting you know more than a trained nurse or paramedic.

We're teaching you what YOU can do.
What you can recognise.
What you can safely do.
How you can respond.
And how you can help keep someone alive and supported until professional help arrives.

Because here's the really important bit:
FIRST AID FOR MOTORCYCLISTS ISN'T JUST ABOUT YOU.

It's about being part of a community where more people are prepared to help.

So if your daughter or son is a nurse or paramedic?

Be bloody proud of them. ❤️

And maybe tell them you're going to learn some skills too.
Because one day they might not be there…

but another rider might be.
