Wednesday 2nd September marks Indigenous Literacy Day.
It is a day to share First Nations Stories, Culture and Languages with children and adults around Australia.

At Emmaus, our FIRE Carrier and Academic Committees went to the junior campus to read First Nations Stories and participate in activities to celebrate Indigenous Literacy Day.
Students are invited to the library to check out the display that explores the theme “Country is our Teacher”

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended our Father’s Day breakfast, which welcomed over 300 guests.A special thank you to our guest speaker, Josh Newman, for delivering such an inspiring address. We also recognize Wendy Williams and the maintenance team for their exceptional efforts in preparing the venue, and our Vocational Major students for catering the wonderful breakfast. Finally, we thank our leadership team for their vital coordination and support in making this event a success. Happy Father’s Day!

Our junior school students had the best time picking out special surprises at the Father’s Day stall today.A massive thank you to our VM team, our dedicated junior school staff, and our wonderful parent volunteers for bringing this together and making it such a memorable experience for the kids.But shhh, remember the golden rule: don’t tell our dads and grandads what is heading their way this weekend.

EISM Chess Gala Day held at Donvale Christian College.

The Year 9 Earth and Space Elective students visited the Victorian Space Science Education Centre where they participated in a “Mission to Mars” programme. Some spent time in  Mission control, liasing with their fellow students who went to a simulated Mars environment, gathering evidence to support the big question , “ How has Mars changed over time ?”. The students then swapped roles and after that analysed their findings in the lab. All students enjoyed their day and in particular being able to dress as if real astronauts. The excursion complemented work that is being done in the Earth Space elective class. A fun day for all !! Mrs Soltani
