Tomorrow, we’re looking forward to welcoming fathers, grandfathers and special father figures to Valentine Public School for a morning of sports, activities and fun!

🌟 Welcome to 3/4W, Mrs Williams! 🌟

We are very excited to welcome Mrs Williams to 3/4W as she completes her final teaching internship with us.

Mrs Williams was once a student here at Valentine, so it’s lovely to now welcome her back as a future teacher. The students have loved getting to know her, and we are looking forward to having her over the next four weeks as she finishes this exciting part of her teaching journey.

🌟 🙌 STATE FINALS, HERE WE COME! 🙌 🌟

What a game!

Our PSSA AFL team fought hard against Toukley in the State Quarter Final on Monday. It proved to be the toughest test of the season so far!

In a match that went right down to the wire, the boys showed incredible composure, resilience and determination. Every contest was fiercely fought, every possession mattered, and neither team was willing to give an inch. It was a genuine finals battle.

When the pressure was at its highest, our boys stood tall. Playing with the same tough, gritty style of footy that has carried them all season, they worked tirelessly for one another and found a way to get the job done in an incredibly tight contest.

We couldn't be prouder of the effort, courage and teamwork shown by this group. They continue to rise to every challenge and represent our school with outstanding sportsmanship and pride.

The journey continues, and the dream is still alive.

Next stop: The State Finals. (Valo's fourth consecutive appearance. 😉 )

🏃‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️Hunter PSSA Athletics Carnival 🏃‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️
Last Friday our star runners, jumpers and throwers represented VPS and East Lake Macquarie Zone at the Hunter Region PSSA Athletics carnival. We were well represented across the day with all of our athletes giving their absolute best. A huge congratulations to Eedie on her 3rd place in her 1500m run and Elias who was crowned the Hunter 11years long jump champion! Both have qualified for the State Championships next term. Well done to our 3 awesome relay teams who ran fantastic races and to every one of our amazing competitors- we are so proud of your achievements!

This week, we proudly celebrate School Administrative and Support Staff (SASS) Recognition Week and take the opportunity to recognise the incredible people who help make our school such a special place every single day.
From our wonderful office staff and School Learning Support Officers, to our General Assistant and all of the SASS staff working behind the scenes. Your care and willingness to always lend a hand make an enormous difference to our students, staff and families.

🔦 SPOTLIGHT ON 5DH 🔦

Students in 5DH have been busy investigating remarkable Australian environments as part of our English unit, Bright New World.
Each student selected a significant place to research, gathering information about its unique features, environmental importance and the challenges it may face. They then considered which facts would be most valuable to their audience and organised their findings under clear, engaging headings.
Using Canva, students transformed their research into colourful and informative posters. They combined carefully written explanations with photographs, illustrations and creative design elements to communicate their ideas effectively. The finished posters demonstrated thoughtful research and a growing awareness of environmental issues.
The class loved having the freedom to make individual design choices and proudly shared their completed work. It was wonderful to see the creativity, care and confidence 5DH brought to this project! ✨
