🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ A HUGE congratulations to our Vacy athletes! 🏅💙💛
Today, 11 incredible students proudly represented Vacy Public School at the Regional Athletics Carnival at Glendale. Every one of them gave it their absolute all, showed fantastic determination and sportsmanship, and made our school incredibly proud! 👏
We are especially excited to celebrate three students who have qualified for State! 🎉

⭐ Koda, after setting a PB in shot put at Zone in Maitland with a throw of 4.72m, went even further today, setting a new PB at Regionals with an amazing 5.48m! What an incredible achievement! 🏆

⭐ Sienna broke the Hunter Regional 100m record, running an incredible 12.85 seconds! 🏃‍♀️💨 What a phenomenal result!

⭐ Jack took home 🥉 3rd place in the High Jump, achieving a fantastic PB, as well as a PB in the 100m. He is also heading to State for High Jump! 👏

To all 11 of our athletes, congratulations! Your hard work, dedication and determination truly paid off. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves and what you achieved today.

Please join us in congratulating this week’s award winners! 🎉

Every week, our students put in an incredible amount of effort, show commitment to their learning, and strive to be their very best. It is wonderful to celebrate and recognise those students who have gone above and beyond and earned a weekly award 🌟

We are so proud of each and every one of you. Your hard work, positive attitude and dedication does not go unnoticed.

Today was our Book Week Parade, and what an absolutely fantastic day it was! Our staff and students embraced the occasion with great enthusiasm, creativity and excitement. Everyone made such a wonderful effort with their costumes, making it a very difficult decision for staff when choosing the best-dressed student in each class.
It was a wonderful day filled with fun, laughter and plenty of memorable moments, enjoyed by all.

A special thank you to Belinda and Mel for generously giving their time to help with the Book Fair. We truly appreciate your support and the time you dedicated to helping make the event a success.

Students will be bringing home their wish lists today, so please keep an eye out in their school bags.

You can place your order online or come into the school and purchase books directly from the library.

Some books may be temporarily unavailable and will need to be ordered in. Rest assured, you’ll still be able to purchase them — there may just be a little wait while they arrive.

Please be mindful this is a cashless event. Payment by card only.

K–2 had a fantastic time yesterday on their STEM excursion! The students had the opportunity to learn lots of new and exciting things while exploring and engaging in hands-on activities.
They went in search of water bugs, learnt how to weave, made their own bracelets, and even met some new reptile friends along the way!

A wonderful day of learning, discovery and fun was had by all!

Our Years 3-6 students took their classroom learning outside and further strengthened their understandings of Environmental Science.
🍃we built terrariums and studied what all living things need.
💧we explored the natural and urban water cycles learning about what NOT to flush.
🪲we studied dung beetles and aqua inveterbrates and learned about how they benefit the environment.
🧵we discussed natural fibres and how they are used by First Nations people.
🐍🦎we patted reptiles and learned what to do if we see snakes!
