Our students are absolutely loving our new outdoor spaces! From exploring our inclusive garden and creating music with the wellbeing instrument, to drawing in our Indigenous sandbox and discovering the trinkets hidden throughout our newly opened fairy and dragon garden, there are so many opportunities for imagination, creativity and connection.

It's been wonderful to see these spaces come to life with so much joy, curiosity and play!

✨ Here's a sneak peek at our magical Fairy & Dragon Garden! 🧚🐉

Our enchanting little garden is starting to come together, and we've already had some beautiful additions. If you happen to have any fairy or dragon garden ornaments looking for a new home, we'd love to give them one! They will be treasured in our dedicated fairy garden space.

You might notice the garden looks a little bare at the moment... that's because the fairies and dragons have been busy! They've whisked away all the new treasures and special decorations to keep them safe until the official announcement. They wanted to make sure their magical home stays a surprise for everyone!

Mrs French will be sharing with all of our students at Monday's assembly how to care for and respect this special space before its magical residents make their grand arrival.

I've heard the fairies and dragons are very excited to return with all their special bits and pieces after Mrs French gives everyone the all-clear. We can't wait to reveal the finished Fairy & Dragon Garden! ✨🧚🐉

Finishing our city adventures with the MCG was an absolute treat. The tour of the stadium, MCC members' area, corporate boxes, team locker rooms, media space, and cricket training nets was something to remember. The MCG museum was also incredible, with many interactive opportunities and memorabilia to admire. We were fortunate to listen to a speech from Olympic taekwondo athlete Stacey Hymer, who shared the highs and lows of her incredible career. We will certainly be looking out for her at the next Olympics! After a long walk back to accommodation, students now have all their belongings and are heading home on the train as we speak. With tired, exhausted bodies and feet, but hopefully memories to last a lifetime.

Another busy day exploring the city. We began with a shopping trip to the Queen Victoria Market, where the students enjoyed spending their money on a variety of things. They then headed to the IMAX theatre to watch a documentary about Australia - the screen alone was impressive enough! We concluded our outing with one of our most interesting activities, a tour of the Old Melbourne Gaol, where students were engaged and asked lots of interesting questions. We still can’t believe how lucky we have been with the weather! We finished our day with some relaxation time at our accommodation, hot chocolates, and a movie.

A visit to the Eureka Sky deck highlighted the evening, with students treated to 6D virtual pods showcasing an immersive tour of Melbourne. Following this, a high-speed elevator whisked everyone to the top of the Eureka building, boasting spectacular views, and for the more fearless, the Edge experience offered an exhilarating extension three metres out from the building in a glass box.
