They notice how you communicate.
They notice when you're calm — and when you're not.
They ask you to slow down, pay attention, try again and become clearer.
And somewhere amongst all of that, kids are learning things that reach far beyond the paddock. 💗🐴

Before they ride... they learn to lead. 🩵

One of the biggest differences at Hooves & Paws is that we don't start with the saddle.
We start on the ground.

Before a child ever climbs aboard, we help them learn how to:
🤍 feel safe
🤍 communicate clearly
🤍 build trust
🤍 understand boundaries
🤍 lead with confidence
🤍 work as a team with their horse

When children feel calm and capable on the ground, riding becomes the next step—not the first goal.
The horse isn't just following a lead rope. They're responding to the child's body language, confidence, energy and communication.
Those are life skills that extend far beyond horses.

At Hooves & Paws, we're not simply teaching children to ride.
We're helping them become confident, resilient young people—one small step at a time.
Because confidence isn't taught...

💗 More than horse riding...
Every workshop looks a little different, but the heart of it is always the same.
🐴 Slowing down. 🌿 Connecting with nature. 🎨 Creating. 🤝 Building friendships. 💗 Growing confidence.
Some children arrive bursting with confidence. Others arrive quietly, unsure of what the day will bring.
By the end of the day, they're laughing, leading horses, creating memories and often asking...
"When can I come back?"
Those are the moments that remind me why Hooves & Paws exists.
It's never just about the horses.
It's about helping children discover just how capable they really are. 🩷🐴🌿

Sometimes the biggest wins are the quiet ones... 💗🐴

Not every child arrives full of confidence.
Some arrive quietly. Some are nervous. Some aren't sure if they even want to get out of the car.
And that's okay.
One of my favourite parts of these workshops isn't seeing children do something amazing...
It's watching the tiny moments.
The first pat. The first smile. The first time they choose to walk beside a horse instead of behind Mum.
Those little moments are often the beginning of something much bigger.
That's why we keep our groups small. Every child has the time and space to build confidence at their own pace. 💗

💗 Some children need a little extra time... and that's okay.
Not every child arrives full of confidence.
Some hold Mum's hand a little tighter. Some watch from a distance. Some almost don't come at all.
At Hooves & Paws, there's no pressure and no expectations. Every child is given the time, space and support they need to feel safe.
Watching this beautiful young girl go from feeling so nervous she almost stayed home, to confidently heading off with Phoebe, is exactly why I do what I do.

Some take a little while to warm up.
Some don't realise just how capable they really are.
Then something special happens...
A horse trusts them. They lead with confidence. They encourage another child. They smile a little bigger.
That's why I created these Monthly Confidence Workshops.
They're not about learning to ride.
They're about building confidence, communication, resilience and a sense of belonging through meaningful experiences with horses, nature and new friendships.
