This time 6 years ago I went into labour for the first time. I always say in my classes that the build up and wait for my baby to decide to come was the most magical time of my life. I spent some of the night on the most amazing journey and welcomed our daughter Keira into the world before the sun came up. This was the beginning of my decision to become a Calmbirth practitioners and help spread the amazing knowledge that it brings.
Good luck to all those mummas out there on their own journey who will have a child sharing the same birthday as my beautiful girl.

I have just had the best weekend taking new couples through the calmbirth program. The new studio at my midwives is amazing. I look forward to hearing from you all, expecting news from our couple with little twins on board first.
Classes are spaced out at the moment due to 3 little family commitments I have so be quick to book in for my next class in March.

I've just spent the weekend sitting in on a calmbirth class taken by Chris Vose through www.calmbirthgold.com What a great relaxing weekend. Picked up some good tips to improve my classes and now can't wait to get back into teaching. Still some places available for my class in January. Spread the word.

Thinking about my return to teaching Calmbirth. While it's not the easy option for myself and my family (well for my husband) I just have to get out a teach it. Everyone should be able to experience the joy of birth like I did. Tell you pregnant friends to watch this space.

Anyone want to buy our fisher price baby swing before it goes on eBay? Rock, sings, mobile moves, doesn't feed the baby though! $50 worth $5000 in our eyes. Perfect for keeping little ones off the floor so their big brother or sister doesn't jump on them!

Just had a reminder from a previous client pregnant with her second about doing a calmbirth refresher course. I know that there are quite a few of you out there at it again, why not think about fine tuning your skills. Its so much more important to really find the time to acknowledge this little bub growing inside you. If any of you ladies were fortunate enough to have Tamzin care for them in the birth centre at any stage of their pregnancy, birth or after......did you know that she is leaving :( There will be a farewell morning tea for her open to anyone. The event is posted on the friends of the birth centre page, or contact me for details. If you cant make it, I can pass on any messages or photos you may want her to have. She has been such an important part of life for many of you, it would be nice to show some apprectiation and have her take something away with her.

Thank you for your lovely messages, baby Toby caught us by suprise and arrived a little earlier than expected. Luckily I had gone and bought nappies that morning. A beautiful home waterbirth. Stay tuned for birth story!
