🎭MATILDA: MEET THE CAST🎭

Our Meet the Cast series continues with Piper Billings, who will be bringing Bruce Bogtrotter to life in Matilda the Musical!

Piper joined in Prep in 2021 and is now in Year 5. A passionate singer and dancer, she was thrilled to be cast as Bruce and loves the opportunity the role gives her to sing and challenge herself on stage.

Her favourite song from the show is Revolting Children, while one of her favourite musical theatre memories is seeing Titanic: The Musical with her mum at the Gold Coast Little Theatre.

If Piper could play any role in any musical, she would choose the title role in Annie. And when it comes to similarities with Bruce, there's one clear connection - they both love chocolate cake! 🍰

We can't wait for audiences to see Piper bring Bruce's humour, heart and determination to this spectacular Assisi production.

🌟 Welcome to Term 4!

A term of firsts. A term of lasts. A term to remember.

Over the coming weeks, we'll welcome future Assisi students through our Orientation experiences, celebrate achievements at our Night of Excellence events, enjoy the festive spirit of Franciscan Carols, and come together for a range of community celebrations.

For our Year 12 students especially, Term 4 will be filled with significant milestones, including their Graduation Mass, Graduation Assembly and Formal, as they prepare to embark on their next adventure.

Here's to a wonderful term of learning, growth, achievement, celebration and community. 💙💛

🎭 MATILDA: MEET THE CAST 🎭

Our Meet the Cast series continues with Mason Bone, who will be bringing the hilarious Rudolpho to life on stage! 💃✨

Mason joined Assisi in Prep in 2021 and is now in Year 5. Playing Mrs Wormwood's self-absorbed ballroom dancing partner is a perfect fit, with Mason's great sense of humour, comic timing and willingness to have a laugh at himself. In fact, Mason says he and Rudolpho have a lot in common, as they're both silly, goofy and love making people smile.

Mason's favourite song from Matilda is Revolting Children, although his future plans are a little less rebellious. Inspired by the much-loved Miss Honey, Mason hopes to become a teacher one day. 📚🍎

When he's not rehearsing for Matilda, Mason loves the musical Wicked and thinks he'd be right at home playing Glinda.

💚 We can't wait for audiences to see Mason's energy, humour and personality shine on stage as Rudolpho.

🎟️ TICKETS ARE COMING SOON! Be sure to keep an eye on our channels for the ticket release announcement. You're not going to want to miss this spectacular Assisi production!

💙 Celebrating the Spirit of Assisi 💛

One of the highlights of Assisi Day was recognising students who truly embody the Spirit of Assisi.

The Spirit of Assisi Awards are presented to students in Years 4 to 12 who consistently demonstrate the Assisi Habits and Values and actively contribute to College life.

Recipients have distinguished themselves through their involvement across a combination of academic, sporting, cultural and Religious Life opportunities, while modelling the Franciscan values that sit at the heart of our community.

These students lead by example each day, making a positive difference in the lives of others through their actions, both big and small. Their commitment to learning, service, participation and community spirit is what makes Assisi such a special place.

Congratulations to all award recipients. We are proud to celebrate the way you bring the Spirit of Assisi to life throughout our College community.

Help us celebrate these outstanding students by leaving a message of congratulations below and joining us in recognising the positive impact they have on our College community. 💙💛

🎤 Assisi Idol Takes Centre Stage! ⭐

As part of our Assisi Day celebrations, students from the across the College took to the stage for this year's EYJY and MYSY Assisi Idol competitions.

With incredible talent, confidence and creativity on display, performers wowed their peers and judges alike through a variety of outstanding acts.

From the nervous excitement before stepping on stage to the cheers from the crowd, the event showcased not only talent but also the courage to give something new a go.

Of course, the students weren't the only stars of the show! Our talented teachers also took to the stage, keeping the crowd entertained and proving that Assisi Idol isn't just for students.
