💙 The Buddy Program: Supporting Every Student to Thrive 💙

At Assisi, student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. Our Buddy Support Program brings this to life by connecting our Year 7 and Year 11 students for support throughout the year 🤝

Carefully paired, these partnerships build confidence, foster belonging and encourage positive role modelling, with Year 11 students stepping into leadership while helping younger students feel known, supported and connected 💙

From simple conversations to “getting to know you” activities (and a little origami fun 🎨), it’s a powerful start to relationships that make a real difference.

On Thursday 25 June, our EY and JY students are invited to swap their uniforms for their warmest winter PJs as we come together to support the Vinnies Winter Warmth Appeal ❄️

Alongside their PJs, students are encouraged to bring along a non-perishable food item to help make a real difference for those doing it tough this winter.

This week marked our second drop-off of donations, and once again, our community has shown what it truly means to live out our values of compassion and service.

Every item donated will go towards bringing comfort, warmth and dignity to those doing it tough this winter. It’s a powerful reminder that even the simplest acts of kindness can make a profound difference.

✨ Our Prep Journey is Under Construction! 🚧

This morning our 2027 Preppies returned for their second Peek into Prep and what a special milestone it was! 💛

Our soon-to-be Preppies proudly received their welcome packs, including their “Assisi Prep Under Construction” t-shirts, marking the beginning of their exciting journey with us. 👷

The construction theme came to life across the morning, with our little learners stepping into their hard hats and getting hands-on as they coloured their own tools and explored the classroom environment 🖍️🔧

There was a lovely sense of familiarity and growing confidence as friendships continue to form and our future Preppies begin to feel right at home at Assisi. ✨
We can’t wait to see them again soon as we continue building strong foundations together!

✨ 100 Days. A Lifetime of Memories. ✨
This morning, our Year 12 students marked a milestone that feels both exciting and a little bit surreal… just 100 days to go. 🎓

The day began not with a bell, but with a moment.

A shared breakfast, loving prepared and served by our Hospitality students and Mrs Walker Chamon, a reminder of the community that has walked alongside them every step of the way. 🍽️👏

There was laughter, reflection, and the quiet realisation… this chapter is coming to a close.

Mr Frare reminded our seniors to “seize the moment”, a simple but powerful message as the countdown begins. Because these final 100 days aren’t just a number…

They are 100 more chances to:
✨ be present
✨ step forward
✨ make memories that will last a lifetime

Just like the final seconds can change a game, these final days have the power to shape who they become and the legacy they leave behind. 💙💛

See Where Sport at Assisi Can Take You 🏐

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of Chayse in Year 7, who has progressed through the school sport pathway at Assisi and recently represented South Coast at the QRSS Under 12 Boys Netball Championships.

South Coast Coach Chelsea McKean praised Chayse’s attitude and character throughout the tournament:

“Chayse approached every opportunity with enthusiasm and a willingness to give his best. He consistently challenged himself, showed resilience during difficult matches, and demonstrated respect and sportsmanship both on and off the court.”

In recognition of his exceptional efforts, Chayse was awarded the team’s Most Valuable Player, as voted by coaches from across the competition, an outstanding achievement.

Chayse’s success highlights both his dedication and the strength of the sporting opportunities available through our College.
