Thanks to Federation University Australia and CQUniversity Australia for their valued partnership on the Ready Set Go program, which received the award "Excellence in Collaboration" at the 2025 NAGCAS conference last December.

We delivered as a partnership a webinar part of the NAGCAS PD series, sharing the program's successes and learnings.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share Ready Set Go's story of impact and demonstrate the immense value of cross-sector partnership.

Ready Set Go is a sub-project of Study Hubs in Place funded through the Regional Partnerships Project Pool Program, an initiative of the Commonwealth Department of Education.

✨ Explore Your Paths: Career Expo 2026 – What a Day! ✨

We were thrilled to see such strong student interest at this year’s Careers Expo, with 12 local secondary schools represented 🙌

Students engaged confidently in hands-on activities and meaningful conversations with businesses, showing curiosity, enthusiasm, and a real willingness to learn. It was fantastic to see so many young people walk away feeling more confident and supported in their pathway choices. 💡

From a school perspective, the timing of the event early in the year proved incredibly valuable. It gave students the opportunity to think more broadly about their career options, sparked curiosity about industries they hadn’t previously considered, and supported important decisions around subject selection and future pathways.

The Expo also played a key role in strengthening connections between schools and local industry, helping to build clearer pathways from education to employment across our region 🌏

A huge thank you to all schools, students, and industry partners who made the day such a success—we can’t wait to build on this momentum for 2027 🚀

On Tuesday September 2nd, Ready Set Go hosted a hybrid webinar for parents and carers on how to support their children and young people’s career and educational exploration pathways.

Heartfelt thanks to our four inspiring panellists, Kimberly Erwin, James Bush, Nicole McDonald & Melissa Oakley for sharing their valuable insight. To access the recording of this great parents/carer resource, visit Webinars — Gippsland East LLEN. In collaboration with the Tech Library, STEAM Lab @ The Study Hub ran some activities for children and young people to explore, create and experiment with 3D modelling/ printing, game development, Virtual Reality, robotics, badge and sticker making.

Ready Set Go is a career exploration program funded by the Commonwealth Department of Education and delivered locally through a partnership between Gippsland East LLEN, Federation University and CQUniversity.
