We’re welcoming another educator to The Learning Circle Tutor team. 🌻

We’re looking for someone who brings both experience and genuine care to literacy intervention.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who:

🌻 Has 3+ years’ experience as a qualified Primary School Education Assistant or Teacher
🌻 Has experience working in Australian schools
🌻 Is trained and experienced in Sounds-Write
🌻 Has experience teaching maths and literacy across Years 1–6
🌻 Holds a valid Working With Children Card
🌻 Can provide 2 recent professional referees
🌻 Can provide a cover letter and resume

This is a great opportunity for an educator who understands that children do not all learn in the same way, and who enjoys helping students build the foundations that make future learning easier.

At TLC, we value respect, communication, professionalism, best practice and integrity. We want our team to feel supported while doing meaningful work with children and families.

At The Learning Circle Tutor, we are seeing so many students struggling with their pencil grip, letter formation and ability to write for sustained periods. Many of these children are in Years 1, 2 and 3.

We are targeting these areas while also addressing the decoding of sounds, to read.

The system is not serving ALL students… why do you think that is??

Australia's NAPLAN reading results were already bad in 2025.

And now they have become even worse.

This is precisely why we launched our petition this week - and why our second demand is for a return to foundational literacy and penmanship.

Every Australian child should be able to read and write fluently for sustained periods before completing primary school.

If you agree, please sign our petition (link in bio).

A new term brings new opportunities to learn, grow and build confidence.

Whether your child is returning feeling excited, nervous or somewhere in between, remember that progress doesn't happen all at once.

It happens through encouragement, patience and taking one step at a time.

We look forward to supporting our TLC families throughout another wonderful term of learning.

The beginning of a new term is a fresh opportunity for children to feel confident and capable.

Small routines, positive conversations and a little preparation can help children settle back into learning with less stress.

If you've been concerned about reading, writing or maths, Term 3 is also an ideal time to seek support.

Early intervention gives children the opportunity to strengthen foundations before challenges grow.

At The Learning Circle Tutor, we offer evidence-based literacy support, maths intervention, one-to-one tutoring and thoughtfully structured small group programs to help children thrive.

Term 3 has just begun, and now is the perfect time to secure your child's place. 🌻

Our sessions are intentionally limited so every child receives personalised support, meaningful connection, and the encouragement they need to thrive.

Whether your child would benefit from 1:1 tutoring or small group learning, we're here to help build strong foundations in literacy and maths.

💬 Message us today to discuss the best option for your child before places fill.

Children rarely tell us, "I have a learning gap."

Instead, they show us in different ways.

Perhaps homework has become a daily struggle. Reading is met with resistance. Or your child has started believing they're "just not good at maths."

These moments can be difficult to watch as a parent.

The good news is that children don't have to stay stuck.

With the right support, strong foundations can be rebuilt, confidence can return, and learning can begin to feel enjoyable again.

At The Learning Circle Tutor, we provide evidence-based literacy support, Sounds-Write instruction, maths intervention, and both one-to-one and small group tutoring to meet children where they are.

Sometimes, the smallest step can make the biggest difference.

If you're passionate about helping children build strong foundations and confidence, we'd love to hear from you.

As part of our team, you'll enjoy:

🌻 A supportive team that shares ideas, resources and celebrates each other's successes
🌻 The opportunity to make a genuine difference through personalised intervention
🌻 A calm, professional studio with engaged students and supportive families
🌻 Above-award casual rates with consistent term-time hours
🌻 The chance to focus on meaningful teaching, not classroom management

We're looking for a qualified primary teacher who:

Kylie MacPherson founder of Bright Minds Tuition in Tamworth and Mudgee, NSW, shares her insights and experience of small group intervention.

At Bright Minds Kylie and her team work with students from K-12. They highly value a mix of small group support and 1:1 learning to build connection and grow student confidence in their ability.

Kylie strongly believes that peer interaction accelerates thinking, not just confidence.

Research consistently shows that learning is strengthened when students explain their thinking and hear others’ ideas.
Assessment researcher Dylan Wiliam emphasises that learning deepens when students articulate reasoning and respond to others. Similarly, dialogic teaching expert Robin Alexander highlights that structured classroom talk is a powerful driver of cognitive development.

In a small group:
👉 students explain their thinking
👉 hear multiple strategies
👉 refine and correct misconceptions
