🌸 HAPPY EARLY EDUCATORS’ DAY! 🌸

Today we celebrate the amazing educators at Underwood Early Learning Centre and everything they do, every single day. ❤️

Being an early childhood educator is so much more than simply caring for children. Our educators wear so many hats throughout the day!

✨ Creating a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment
✨ Building strong relationships with children and families
✨ Planning and providing engaging, play-based learning experiences
✨ Supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing
✨ Observing, assessing and documenting children’s learning
✨ Supporting children through big emotions and challenging moments
✨ Teaching independence and self-help skills
✨ Helping with toileting, dressing, handwashing and mealtimes
✨ Preparing learning environments and setting up activities
✨ Cleaning, packing away and keeping environments safe and healthy
✨ Supporting children with additional needs and individual goals
✨ Communicating with families and sharing their child’s experiences
✨ Managing routines, transitions and the many unexpected moments of the day
✨ Completing planning, observations and documentation
✨ Following policies, procedures and safety requirements
✨ Attending meetings, training and professional development
✨ Working as a team and supporting one another
✨ And giving endless cuddles, comfort, encouragement, smiles and high-fives! 🥰

And sometimes they are a teacher, storyteller, entertainer, problem solver, first-aider, cleaner, referee, counsellor, chef, detective, artist, role model and superhero — all before morning tea! 😂❤️

To our incredible educators at Underwood ELC, thank you for your dedication, patience, kindness and love.

Thank you for celebrating the little victories, wiping the tears, answering the endless questions, joining in the messy play, reading the same book for the 100th time and making every child feel safe, loved and valued.

What you do matters. The relationships you build matter. The memories you create matter.

Most importantly, the impact you have on little lives will last a lifetime. 🌱💕

We are seeking a length of dust collection hose., like the one pictured. If you have any you are able to gift the centre the educators and children would be super grateful. We have some play ideas we want to set up.

We want to wish Ruwaida a happy 1 year anniversary at Underwood ELC. We are so glad you choose to spend your days with us and the babies in our Nursery, we are very lucky to have such a caring educator.

🐝💛 A big thank you to our wonderful visitors from Teralba Bees for their thoughtful NAIDOC Week gift! 🖤💛❤️

We were so grateful to receive a beautiful hamper that included:
🌿 Wattle seed cookie mix
🍃 Dried lemon myrtle leaves
🍯 Delicious Teralba honey
🎲 A Deadly Snap card game

These special gifts will help us celebrate and learn about Aboriginal culture and traditions during NAIDOC Week. Our Kindergarten children are especially excited to use the wattle seed cookie mix, lemon myrtle, and honey in some delicious cooking experiences together! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
