🌟 Book Week Parade 2026 at Farmborough Road PS! 🌟

Today, our school was alive with creativity and excitement as students and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters for our annual Book Week Parade. 📚✨ This year’s theme, ‘Symphony of Stories’, inspired a wonderful celebration—each costume and character adding their own note to our symphony of imagination and adventure!

A big thank you to all families for your support and to everyone who joined in the fun. Reading opens up a world of possibilities—and we’re proud to encourage a lifelong love of books in our school community.

Enjoy these highlights from our magical day!

🔬🧪 National Science Week in Nawi! 🧪🔬

Things got a little messy (and VERY squishy!) as we explored the science behind oobleck! 👋✨

Our Nawi students investigated how this fascinating mixture can behave like both a solid and a liquid. Plenty of hands-on experimenting, predicting, observing and, of course, lots of fun! 💚

If you want to try this one at home, its just corn flour & water with a bot of food colouring.

This year Farmborough Road Public School will be participating in the Bullying No Way: National week of action, 17 to 21 August 2026.
Bullying No Way Week is a commitment being made by thousands of schools and supporters across the country. It provides an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to bullying prevention. It gives us an opportunity to connect with students, staff and school communities to implement workable solutions to prevent bullying.
The theme for this year's campaign is Small Acts, Big Impact.
It takes a community to address bullying behaviours, within and beyond the school gate.
Students can make a big impact through small acts of kindness and support for others being bullied. Trusted adults are there to guide children and young people as they learn how small, thoughtful actions can create a positive difference and encourage reporting of bullying.
This Bullying No Way Week, we’re encouraging you to embrace the theme Small Acts, Big Impact. Show kindness, support others and take meaningful steps to stand up against bullying.
