After 16 years of faithful service, today we farewelled our School Chaplain, Carol Ramsey. Our Primary and Secondary Chapels were wonderful times of reflection and thanks for Carol and all she has done for our school.
Throughout her time at Cedars, Carol has been a caring and encouraging presence in the lives of countless students, families and staff. Whether offering encouragement, support, prayer, or simply a listening ear, she has served our community with grace, compassion and unwavering commitment.
We are deeply grateful for Carol, and the many ways she has served our School Community, and pray God’s blessing as she steps into this next season of our journey.

Our Science Fair yesterday provided a wonderful opportunity for students to explore their curiosity, think critically and share their learning with others. From designing experiments to presenting their findings, it was evident just how much thought, effort and enthusiasm had gone into each project.
Students presented their work to fellow students, staff and visiting parents, who had the opportunity to engage with and judge the displays. Congratulations to our Year 8 winners who presented outstanding projects, and well done to all of our young scientists for the dedication and creativity they brought to the day.

Last week, our Year 10 students stepped beyond the classroom and into workplaces across a range of industries as part of their Work Experience placements.
From observing professionals in action to gaining a firsthand understanding of different career pathways, students were given the opportunity to explore where their interests and strengths may lead in the future. Experiences like these play an important role in helping young people make informed decisions as they prepare for life beyond school.
We are grateful to the many businesses and organisations that welcomed our students and invested in their learning. We also extend our thanks to Careers Advisor, Mr Laird, for coordinating the placements and helping make these valuable experiences possible.

One of the highlights of Year 8 Design and Technology is the bridge-building project, where students put their design skills to the test.
After designing and constructing their own bridges, students put them through a stress test, gradually adding bricks to see how much weight each structure could support. While some designs proved stronger than others, every student gained valuable insight into how design decisions impact real-world performance.
A great example of learning in action as students moved beyond theory and put their ideas to the test.

We look forward to cheering them on as they head to the State Gala Day later this term!

Term 3 is already off to a great start.
From the first bell, there has been a real sense of energy around the College as students have stepped back into learning, friendships and the many opportunities this term will bring.
In the midst of a busy week, it was wonderful to pause and gather together in Chapel today, spending time in worship as a community and reflecting on the ways God continues to work in our lives and across our College.
We’re looking forward to all that Term 3 has in store!
