Year 3 at Stanwell Beach Reserve with the Gumaraa Rangers.

Year 3 enjoyed a rich cultural experience at Stanwell Beach Reserve with the Gumaraa Rangers. Students learnt about Aboriginal culture through dance, traditional artefacts, bush tucker, bush medicine and the importance of caring for Country. It was a memorable day of hands-on learning, cultural connection and deeper understanding of Australia’s First Peoples.

Year 2’s big adventure!!

On Friday, Year 2 embarked on a big adventure to the Science Centre and the Wollongong Art Gallery. It was a fun-filled day of learning, creativity, and discovery.

At the Science Centre, students were amazed under the planetarium dome as they explored galaxies and constellations. They even learned how to locate the Southern Cross in our night skies. The exciting bubble show was a highlight of the day, with some lucky students finding themselves inside a giant bubble!

In the STEM room, students worked together to build LEGO towers. The design challenge was to create a tower that was at least 30cm tall and strong enough to withstand wind and an earthquake. Everyone showed fantastic teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

After enjoying lunch together in the beautiful sunshine, the students headed to the Wollongong Art Gallery. The theme of the exhibition was collage. Following a guided tour of the gallery, students created their own Cityscape Collages inspired by the artworks they had seen.

A wonderful day was had by all, and Year 2 returned to school with many happy memories and new experiences to share.

Today we celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime 2026 with Luna Roo: the Kangaroo Baller 🦘

Each grade enjoyed the story with a special visitor, helping bring the joy of reading to life across our school community. Thank you to Mrs Tyson for making the day so special.
