Public Education Week
Sometimes the most powerful moments in public education are the simplest ones. A child sharing a book with their mum. A teacher inspiring excellence. A classroom full of curiosity. The joy of friendship.

This week, we've celebrated together through our Performance Showcase, Open Classrooms, Family Picnic, Yarn Up and PLP celebrations, the Oztag and Netball Gala Days and Koorana Cup.

🏐 A huge congratulations to our amazing netball superstars on a fantastic day of competition!

Both teams showed incredible grit, determination and resilience, while demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship and flexibility throughout the day. We are so proud of the way you represented our school, supporting one another and giving your best in every game.

A special thank you to our wonderful umpires, and to all of our amazing parents and carers for your encouragement, support and sideline cheers. We couldn't do it without you!

🏉 OzTag Gala Day 2026 🏉

What a fantastic day of OzTag at the Central Coast All Schools Gala Day. Every student represented Umina Beach Public School with pride.

Our students showed great teamwork, sportsmanship and resilience throughout the day, developing new skills and growing in confidence with every game. Congratulations to our Stage 2 Boys and Stage 3 Girls, who both progressed through to the quarter-finals, an outstanding achievement!

Most importantly, our students were respectful, encouraging, listened to instructions and supported one another all day. They were a pleasure to coach and made us incredibly proud.
