Book it in everyone

The Georges Bay Sailing Regatta is back for 2026!!

Held on the beautiful waters surrounding St Helens over the October/November long weekend (Oct 31/Nov 1), the 2026 Georges Bay Sailing Regatta (proudly sponsored by Community Bank St Helens) is hosted by the Georges Bay Sailing and Aquatic Club and will feature Clubs and Members from across Tasmania as they shoot it out for ultimate bragging rights over 2 epic days!

We are now taking expressions of interest from Clubs and Club Members interested in joining us for this event. Here are all the details so you can lock it in:

Dates: October 31st ~ November 1st, 2026
Location: O'Connors Beach, St Helens (Georges Bay Sailing and Aquatic Club)
Race Classes: All welcome!
Notice of Race will be issued mid-September once EOI's have been received.

While some of us have braved the chilly waters over the last couple of weeks, the wet weather has also allowed a bit of couch time resulting in our Season 26-27 Calendar.

Looking forward to getting back out there with old and new members alike! See you all for the Icebreaker on 26th September (off the water before the GF)

Harcourts Rescue 1 plays a significant role in our sailing program, acting as a committee/start boat and also the ever important Safety Boat.
This weekend a number of our regular drivers and crew undertook Australian Sailing - Tasmania supported training to hone our skills.
Attendees will be bringing their newly refreshed and learnt skills back to the club to share at club training days over the next couple of months. Much thanks to Barry, Ben and the crew from Port Dalrymple Yacht Club.

Working Bee today.....plenty of club members around for a good sweep out, boat storage shuffle and preparation of our safety boats for their annual services.

It's not often that we get to witness Philba vaccuming Harcourts Rescue 1, but it shows the care and attention Phil puts in every week to keep us sailing.

One of the club Sabots was also retired, having spent a significant time one the top rack and unfortunately not having seen the water in a very long time. If you'd like a Sabot project its free to a good home.
