Happy Vet Nurses Day- a day to celebrate, especially in our present climate. Never have Vet Nurses been needed, and hopefully appreciated more in our profession. Hats off to each and every one of you- for your dedication, hard work and support in our overworked profession. Enjoy your day and we hope you are all spoilt rotten in your workplace.

The Certificate III Pet Grooming students had the wonderful opportunity to be visited by Pets on the Point owner Guy (Kongsak) Boonkerd. Guy gave the students a full day workshop on grooming skills and techniques on a range of dogs, including the now famous Pooch Perfect celebrity dog, Lika the standard poodle.
Thanks also to our 2019 graduate, Ingrid Bubic who also assisted with the workshop and was able to talk to the current students about industry and employment pathways. Ingrid is currently working with Guy at Pets on the Point.

There is presently no evidence that Coronavirus in humans is transmissible to animals and vice versa. The domestic animal strain of Coronavirus is NOT the same as the human strain. Just in case anyone was getting worried :)

YES?+YES=YES!

How do YOU ask for sexual consent? How do YOU do it?

It’s not about avoiding a NO. It’s about understanding the language and behaviour of YES, and by its absence, NO.
It’s ok to say NO, and it’s ok to say YES!

What does asking for a “YES” sound like? What does a “NO” sound like?

We asked people to tell us what consent means to them
