Meet Trisna 👋 Growing up in Indonesia, Trisna was always thinking about how she could give back to her community. That question eventually led her to UTS 🌏

Now, her research focuses on unlocking agtech innovation by putting smallholder farmers at the centre of the solution. By bridging the gap between technology and real farming needs, she is helping create more sustainable, inclusive and resilient agricultural systems.

For Trisna, it is not just about innovation. It is about creating change that truly makes a difference.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a group of undergraduates from our mobility partners, East Carolina University. During their stay, the students experienced our ‘Business Immersion Tour Program’ 🗺️ – an activity-packed week that kept them on their toes 🏃‍➡️.

From visiting Sydney’s iconic Taronga Zoo, a day trip to Canberra, an industry visit with OzHarvest, and more 😉!! We’re certain the students left with a newfound love for our cities, along with memorable cultural and industry experiences to share with those waiting for them back home 💙🏠🫂.

This April, UTS welcomed another MBA cohort from Hong Kong Metropolitan University as part of their postgraduate study tour program.

Through workshops, presentations and industry visits, students explored topics including innovation, entrepreneurship, ethical leadership and Australian workplace culture. The program also featured visits to organisations such as Salesforce ANZ, OzHarvest and more.

At UTS, we understand that learning also happens beyond the classroom. Our study tour programs combine academic learning with cultural excursions and industry site visits to help students experience Australia in a meaningful and practical way.

Here are some moments captured from the HKMU cohort’s April visit, including trips to The Grounds Coffee Factory, KFC Roofing Supplies and Taronga Zoo.
