“Conversational Practices for Leaders” webinar
Wednesday 12 December - 8:30am - 9:15am.

This webinar explores two pathways for conversational practice – results-focused conversations that can leave people disengaged and left out, versus conversations that truly engage people and produce results.

Through the webinar, we will explore how we blindly and accidentally disengage others when we focus purely on results. We will take away practical tips and tools that help identify opportunities to utilise new kinds of conversational practice to achieve buy-in, trust and engagement.

This webinar, the third in the series, will definitely stretch thinking and potential practice. So come prepared to explore ideas and connect those to your own experience.

Webinar 2 - Breakdowns to Breakthroughs

The webinar will explore the notion of a breakdown - those situations where we encounter a ‘disruption to the anticipated flow in life'. The session will explore how such a breakdown reveals our standards and expectations and how we can re-frame a breakdown to achieve a breakthrough.

Participants will explore the power of language and narrative in the manifestation of breakdowns and take away practical tips and tools to help transform the idea of a breakdown from problem to opportunity.

Language and Conversations for Possibility webinar
Wednesday 14 November 2018 - 8:30am - 9:15am

This is an introduction to understanding how perceptions are formed and how we can shift these for the sake of creating new possibilities, where perhaps historically we have been blind to opportunity.

Participants will explore the genesis of our narratives and how the quality of these narratives colour our experiences of life and work. They will take away insights that help identify historical and cultural orientations and how we can re-frame and shift these for the sake of future opportunities.

Webinar for TLN members and TAFE NSW staff,

MAKING THE MATRIX WORK: More than a structure, a Frame of Mind webinar presented by TAFE NSW's Regan Harding

Wednesday September 6 at 12:30 - 1:15pm

Strictly speaking, matrix management is the practice of managing individuals with more than one reporting line. However the term is also commonly used to describe managing cross-functional business groups or other forms of working that traverse traditional, and often siloed, vertical business units such as function and geography.

In a ‘functional matrix’, a middle-level manager has two or more upward reporting lines to leaders who each represent a different business dimension, such as a product, region or function.
