When I was back in high school, the theme for our senior year in English was “Journey”. We read books and poems and wrote short stories and discussed at length what a journey is and why it’s so vital to our experience as humans.

If I was only going to go to one International Women’s Day event, it would of course be the x Women in Projects Australia panel discussion held on Wednesday night. After all, I was one of the panellists for last year’s event! ☺️🤗

It had been a long day after delivering my Leading Successful Change Live training, but I was determined to go and support these two fantastic member organisations to celebrate all the value women bring to projects. 👏🏾🙌🏾

There was a wonderfully energising keynote from Lisa Harrison sharing how to work and communicate better with different personalities types, given so much project success is dependent on diversity of approach, thinking and perspectives! 🏆

Followed by a panel with Lisa, Jen Dolden (the awesome Co-Founder of WiPA) and My Tran Le (President of PMI here in Sydney). The panel was excellently facilitated by Maria Mainhardt . 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Mingles and meeting of like-minded women and allies, a great evening. 💞

It was a wonderful Day 1 of my Leading Successful Change Live training today. 😍 Just a small intimate cohort but my beautiful library venue did not disappoint with its wow factor, we got hands on with demos and real-world practice of Benefits Mapping, Change Vision Setting, Change Roadmaps, Stakeholder Mapping and Impact Assessments, as well as learning about Personality Types.

2 modules down, 4 more to go tomorrow as we get on the tools with Canva to create a change brand, theme and benefits icons and map out the communications, training, readiness and support activities for our Change Plan.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: learning practical fit-for-purpose Change Management tools, templates and techniques is the future of Change.

Can’t wait! 🤗
