Over the weekend, Andrew our GA won a pack of cement wagons at the North Shore Railway Modellers’ Association’s Dee Why exhibition. Andrew also received two packs of Victorian louvre wagons.

🚆🛤️

We’d like to thank SDS Models for the cement wagons, and On Track Models for their generous donation of louvre vans.
The students have had lots of fun running these around the Blackwattle Bay railway Company’s layout during the week.

🌟 Exciting Stage 3 School Incursion with AISEC & World's Largest Lesson! 🌍

Our Stage 3 students embarked on a fun and inspiring journey to become global citizens! Together with AISEC and World's Largest Lesson, they explored the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through interactive activities:

🌊 Students dived into learning about the Great Barrier Reef and the health of our oceans. They created posters with action plans and made personal pledges to protect our marine environment.
💨 Hands-on fun building wind turbines helped students understand the importance of conserving energy and the value of renewable resources for a sustainable future.

🌟 YOU Lead The Way: Through an engaging activity, students discovered that leadership comes in many forms and that everyone has the potential to lead, all it takes is courage to take the first step.
A big thank you to AISEC and the World's Largest Lesson for empowering our students to lead positive change for our planet!

Congratulations to Wentworth students for being the very first house group to reach their token box target! They have worked incredibly hard throughout the year, consistently demonstrating respectful, responsible, and learner behaviours and earning an impressive number of tokens along the way.

To celebrate their achievement, students enjoyed a colour fun run, a teacher-vs-student dodgeball competition, and a delicious ice-block treat. Well done, Wentworth! We can’t wait to celebrate with the next house group soon. 🎉🥳👏 NSW Department of Education

The Blackwattle Bay railway Company is a project that started in the last school holidays. We have built a model railway layout (HO scale) in the library where students will be able to play model trains, whilst at the same time, our Lego students will be able to display their creative Lego works.

We have had a steady stream of students with the building of the layout. They have learnt how to glue down the cork underlay and track. Recently, they have been learning on how to apply and spread the ballast to the layout, and today they have started glueing the ballast in place.

By week 1 of term 3, we should be ready to start on (train) driver lessons. If students are successful, they will then be issued with a Blackwattle Bay railway Company train drivers license.
