🌱🐝 Our Permaculture Garden is Buzzing! 🐝🌱

Our outdoor learning space has been a hive of activity, with classes across the school gardening, harvesting, observing seasonal changes and even trying new veggies! 🥬✨

Kindergarten recently harvested and taste-tested yacon - a crunchy root vegetable with a delicious apple-and-pear-like flavour! 🍎🍐

Meanwhile, 1P have been busy observing how the garden changes as the seasons shift, watching plants grow and discovering all the life within our garden beds. 🌻🐛

How lucky are we to have our very own thriving outdoor learning space right here at UPS! 💚🌿

📚It’s a BIG week at UPS!📚
We’re celebrating Book Week & Education Week with a very special day this Thursday! 🎉

🎭 Classroom visits: 10:15–11:00am
🧺 Picnic lunch: 11:00–11:45am with a FREE sausage sizzle! 🌭
📚 K–6 Book Parade: from 12:00pm

This year’s Book Week theme is “Symphony of Stories” 🎶📖 and we cannot wait to see the incredible costumes our students bring to life!

Come along, visit classrooms, share lunch with us and celebrate the wonderful learning happening across our school. We’d love to see as many families as possible! 💙

📚 What a brilliant Education Week at UPS! 📚
Here is a special video taken this week showcasing some of the reasons our students love their school!

From our unforgettable 100 Days of Kindergarten celebrations & visitors, to staff shout-outs, a school-wide duck hunt, and a lunchtime disco that had everyone dancing…there was so much fun, laughter and connection across the week! 🦆💃🎉

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible teachers and support staff. Your passion, care and dedication make a lasting difference in the lives of our students every single day, and we are so grateful for everything you do.

And to our amazing students - thank you for your enthusiasm, kindness, curiosity and the joy you bring to our school each day. You are what makes UPS such a special place to learn and grow 💙✨

👵🏻 100 Days of Kindergarten… and 100 Years of Fun!

What an unforgettable day! Our Kindergarten students (and staff) transformed into the cutest 100-year-olds, complete with wigs, walking sticks, pearls, bow ties, glasses and cardigans. The costumes were absolutely incredible! ❤️

The celebrations kicked off with a SUPER story from Mr Burns (aka Superman! 🦸‍♂️), before students enjoyed fun rotations including games from the past, a time-hopping disco, a 100-building challenge and creating special celebration crowns. 🎉

Our Grandparents and special visitors then joined us for a wonderful assembly, beginning with a Parade of 100-Year-Olds! We were treated to fantastic performances from our Kindergarten students, choir and dance troupe…and even our guests couldn’t resist getting up to join in the dancing! 💃🕺

The celebrations continued with classroom visits to admire our learning, followed by a sunny picnic shared with our special visitors. A huge thank you to our wonderful P&C for providing delicious celebratory snacks and drinks for everyone.

The feedback from families and our community has been overwhelming. Days like these are what make UPS so special - bringing generations together to celebrate learning, laughter and connection. What a way to mark 100 days of Kindergarten! 💙🌈

🏉What a Day at the Paul Kelly Cup!🏉

Our UPS AFL teams had an incredible day competing at the Paul Kelly Cup Gala Day in Batemans Bay!

A massive thank you to Hayden Bridger (Hayden’s Pies & Ulladulla Dockers) and Ben Charlton, (President of the Ulladulla Dockers) for their amazing support. From running a training session at school, coaching on the day, donating two full sets of uniforms, providing access to their boot bucket, and even covering half the bus costs, they went above and beyond for our students. We are so grateful to have such an incredible community behind us. 🙌

Our girls team was outstanding, going undefeated through the rounds before narrowly losing the Grand Final in overtime by just one point. What an effort! 💪

The boys team also played brilliantly, coming together as a team, securing a win and showing fantastic potential for the games to come!

Most importantly, all 32 students represented UPS with pride! Every single student showed outstanding sportsmanship, cheered each other on and embodied the UPS Way.

We couldn’t be prouder! 💙
