Lambing season is underway!

Last Wednesday night, Mother Sheep Biscuit gave birth to two happy and healthy ewe lambs, weighing 4.1kg and 3.2kg.

All are doing well and have already been enjoying meeting some of our students. What a special opportunity for our students to experience new life on the farm and learn more about caring for our animals.

Our VCE Music students recently attended the Top Class Regional Concert, gaining valuable insight into the standards and expectations of VCE Music Performance assessments. Experiences like this help deepen their understanding of program development, stagecraft, and musical expression.

At Flinders Music, we place great value on these opportunities as part of a well-rounded music education, supporting our students to grow as confident, informed, and inspired performers.

Today, as we mark ANZAC Day, we pause to remember and honour the courage, sacrifice and service of those who have served and continue to serve our nation.

On Thursday, our College community gathered for a moving ANZAC Service, taking time to reflect together.

We were privileged to hear from our guest speaker, Captain Ben Esler, whose message was both meaningful and deeply resonant for our students and staff, grounded in service, character and purpose. We also extend our sincere thanks to our guest bugler, Petty Officer Cameron McAllister, whose performance added a powerful and reflective tone to the service.

As a College, we are grateful for the opportunity to come together in remembrance, honouring those who have served and continue to serve, and reflecting on the values of sacrifice, courage and unity that continue to shape our community.

Lest we forget.

On the final day of term, our Primary students had a special visit from Mr Swain as they received their well-deserved merits.

With great excitement, students were awarded the much-anticipated giant stamp and presented with merit coins, contributing to their House points.

A wonderful way to celebrate effort, growth and the positive contributions of our students as we wrapped up the term.

Our new Primary Discovery Hub is now in full swing, and it has quickly become a vibrant and engaging space for our students.

It is already being used to support curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, giving our Primary students the opportunity to explore, inquire, and grow in new and exciting ways. It has been wonderful to see this space come to life and how enthusiastically our students are embracing all that it offers.

Last term, our Primary students and staff came together for a wonderful Easter Hat Parade, and it was truly an incredible day filled with creativity and joy.

Students from Prep to Grade 6 proudly showcased their Easter-themed hats and bonnets, each one thoughtfully designed and full of imagination. It was a special time as we gathered as a community to celebrate the true message of Easter—the gift of new life through Jesus—and reflect on His death and resurrection.

Thank you to the many families who joined us for this meaningful celebration. It was a beautiful way to finish the term together.
