Hi everyone
Juniour classes resume next week,
Monday 2nd and Thursday 5th
Both 4pm - 5:30pm
Teens class resumes Tuesday 3rd 5pm - 6pm
I'm very excited to see everyone back in the studio

JUNIORS

Our first project this year will be an Owl Sewing Buddy

Fabric requirements:
1/2 metre Cotton. NON STRETCH
Please note: if you would contrasting features like the belly, eyes, feet or beak...these can be made using any smaller scraps of fabric you may have at home.

1/2 metre Fusible Fleece (this can be purchased from me)
Stuffing (this can be purchased from me)
2 buttons for eyes

You can also bring in any extra embellishments you might like such as extra buttons, lace or ribbons.
The owl will be weighted down with rice which I will provide.

Classes start back tomorrow!

I hope everyone has had great holidays so far.
Next term we will be starting on our Christmas projects.
Our first project will be a Christmas house.
Fabric requirements are minimal for this one, mostly we can use scraps. Students will need to bring in a few pieces of Christmas fabric as well as half a mtr of any plain colour they would like as the base of the house as pictured below.
We will also need stuffing which can be purchased in class for $5
Fabric must be woven cotton, no stretchy fabric.
Students can also add embellishments if they would like, bells, buttons, ribbon, ric rac, lace.. These will need to be brought to class if they wish to use them.

Hi everyone, I hope the holidays have been treating you all well!
Our next project will be a dress. This dress has a full circle skirt with a few different options for the bodice.
Please have a look at the below chart and please help your child work out their correct size. This will let you know how much fabric is needed.
Remember you can use any cotton fabric for this project, not stretch, so think outside the box if you would like. Op shop doonas and sheets are always a good alternative to fabric by the metre. A queen size doona, or above, would give you plenty of fabric.
If you need any help with the chart, please let me know.
This dress will also require press studs but these can be purchased in class.
If your child would like to add any trim to the hemline, they are come to do so.
