Our Jarjums were honoured to welcome Billy Mulheran , proud Bundjalung young man and NRL Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs player , who shared his inspiring journey in rugby league.

Billy spoke about starting his footy career with the South Tweed Bears, representing Palm Beach Currumbin State High School, the South Coast, and one of his proudest achievements, representing his state through Indigenous representative teams.

He shared that his success has come from having a strong network of family and friends, working hard, and making the most of every opportunity that comes his way.

Billy encouraged our Jarjums to stay focused at school, dream big, and start working towards their goals from a young age. His story was a powerful reminder that with dedication, support, and determination, anything is possible.

Thank you, Billy, for taking the time to inspire our students and show them what can be achieved through hard work and believing in yourself.

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve..." Mark 10:45

This week's Service Week brought our three Coast campuses together under the theme Unity in Service: Hands and Hearts for Christ.

Through daily opportunities focused on Encouragement, Environment, Hunger, and Gratitude, our students and staff had the privilege of serving others and sharing the love of Jesus within our community.

The impact was significant:
• 300 meals cooked and delivered to Fred's Place
• 47 food hampers created from donations by our school families
• 75 fruit salads prepared for Fred's Place

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Mate & Matt's for their generous donation of fruit for our pancake breakfast and fruit salads.

What a deadly day out for our Jarjums!

This week our students K-6 travelled to Southern Cross University for Indigenous Literacy Day, where they spent time with Elders, listened to stories, joined in activities and celebrated the strength of Aboriginal culture through reading and storytelling.

Days like these remind our Jarjums that their voices, stories and culture matter. Thank you to everyone at SCU for making us feel so welcome and for creating such a special experience for our mob.

Today we came together to celebrate not only fathers, but also grandfathers, uncles, carers, and the many important male figures who provide love, guidance, and support to our jarjums and families.

It was wonderful to share good food, great conversations, and plenty of laughter with such a special group of people. Seeing our jarjums spending time with the people who help nurture, teach, and care for them was a beautiful reminder of the strength of our community and the importance of these connections.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so memorable. We hope you felt celebrated, valued, and appreciated today.

At Gulgangali, we recognise that stories connect us to our culture, our community, and each other.

Our combined Book Week and Grandparents Day celebration was a special opportunity to honour the grandparents and Elders who share their knowledge, experiences, and stories with our children. Their guidance helps our young people grow strong in identity, culture, and learning.

Thank you to all the families, grandparents, and Elders who joined us. Your presence made the day truly special and reminded us of the importance of respecting and valuing the generations who came before us.

Happy Grandparents Day from our Jarjums!
Our students shared what they love most about their grandparents and Elders, and their words remind us of the important role they play in our lives. Through love, guidance, stories, culture and connection, grandparents help shape strong and proud futures for our jarjums.
Today we celebrate and honour the grandparents, Elders and family members who nurture, teach and inspire the next generation.

A special day of connection and community at Pacific Gulgangali.

We were delighted to welcome the Pacific Hills Christian School Captains, who spent time alongside our students participating in Circle Time, supporting our Kindy Jarjums with maths learning, and helping Stage 2 prepare for this week's assembly.

It was encouraging to see young leaders building relationships across our schools while experiencing the strong sense of culture, belonging and community that makes Pacific Gulgangali so unique.

Thank you to the Hills Captains for investing so positively in our school community.

What a fantastic week it's been for our Jarjums on camp!

They've spent their days out on the water canoeing and paddleboarding, enjoying beach games, trying their hand at archery, and making the most of the beautiful weather. There has been plenty of laughter, adventure, and new memories made along the way.

It's been wonderful to see our Jarjums stepping outside their comfort zones, supporting one another, and simply having so much fun together. Safe to say they've had the best time, and we're so proud of every one of them.

Our campus came alive with culture, connection and celebration as we marked NAIDOC Week 2026 and reflected on 50 Years of Deadly.

Students enjoyed a range of hands-on activities, including making badges, boomerangs and jewellery, while also experiencing storytelling, tasting damper and even trying their hand at spear throwing.

A special thank you to our local Elders, who joined us for lunch and shared in the celebrations. The week concluded with a wonderful final assembly featuring Budjerah , providing a memorable and inspiring way to finish the term together.

We are grateful for the opportunity to honour and celebrate the rich history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
