Collaborative Spring Outdoor Painting🎨🌳

Using recycled cardboard boxes as children's canvas, they worked together to transform the large boxes into colourful artworks. With a variety of paints and brushes, children freely selected colours, explored different painting techniques and worked collaboratively to cover the cardboard surfaces.😍

It's Mental Health Week 💚

Belonging is a big part of wellbeing, for children and grown-ups alike.

For little ones, belonging looks like a familiar face at drop-off, a friend saving them a spot on the mat, or an educator who knows exactly how they like their sandwich cut.

For parents, it can be a quick chat at pick-up with someone who gets it.

The days are warming up and the UV is climbing, so sun safety is in full swing.

Children are getting great at remembering their hats before heading outside (with a few gentle reminders!). We're also making the most of shady spots and water breaks.

Any tips for getting little ones to keep their hat on? We're all ears 👂"

It's World Space Week, and this year's theme is all about rockets. Our room has been full of them!

Children have been building rockets from boxes and blocks, counting down together and asking some big questions about the moon and stars 🌙⭐

If your child comes home asking what astronauts eat for lunch, now you know where it started.

What's the funniest space question your child has asked you? 😄

Clocks go forward this Sunday ⏰

Daylight saving starts at 2am on Sunday 4 October, and it can throw little ones' sleep out for a few days.

A few things that can help:
🌙 Try moving bedtime a little earlier over the next few nights
☀️ Get outside in the morning light
📖 Keep the bedtime routine the same, even if the time changes

We'll be keeping an eye on rest times at the centre too. If your child is having a tricky week, let us know and we'll work on it together.

It's Australian Wildlife Week 🐨

We've been chatting about the animals that share our backyards, parks and bushland. Koalas, kookaburras, blue-tongue lizards and even the odd possum have all come up!

Children have been reading stories, moving like their favourite animals and talking about how we can be gentle with the creatures around us.

An idea for a snack at home? A simple win: steam peas until just tender and let little ones help pod or mash them, easy for small hands and a great way to try new veg.
