We’re thrilled to share that Beau has been awarded the prestigious and highly sought-after Lady Elliot Island Scholarship for 2027 through Taree Universities Campus. This exclusive opportunity is offered to just one passionate Marine and Aquaculture Technology student each year—recognising Beau’s outstanding dedication and enthusiasm for protecting and understanding our marine environment.

Taree Universities Campus (TUC), part of the Australian Government-funded Regional University Study Hubs initiative, supports students in the MidCoast community by providing access to higher education without leaving home. TUC offers excellent student support and campus-style facilities for online learners.

We couldn’t be more excited for Beau to embark on this unique adventure, and we look forward to hearing all about his experiences when he returns from his trip. Well done, Beau 🌊🐠

✈️ Dreams really do take flight! 🛩️

A huge congratulations to Crue, who has recently been selected as a scholarship recipient to attend an AAFC Gliding Course at the Bathurst Aviation Centre! 🎉

This is an incredible achievement. The scholarship is a highly competitive opportunity, awarded to only a small number of cadets from NSW Cadet Squadrons each year. Selected cadets undertake structured flight training in gliders under the supervision of qualified AAFC gliding instructors, working towards the incredible milestone of achieving their first solo flight. 🛩️

For Crue, this opportunity is a very special one. He has dreamed of becoming a pilot since he was just 10 years old, and over the past two years with the AAFC, he has been turning that dream into a reality.

His ultimate goal? To become a fast jet pilot, and one day progress to become a Fighter Combat Instructor. 🚀✈️

Crue is certainly putting in the work to chase that dream. During most school holidays, you’ll find him down at the RAAF Base with the AAFC, dedicating long days to his aviation training. His days are filled with theory-based study, practical flying lessons alongside his instructor, and plenty of learning in and around the aircraft.

And the learning doesn't stop once the aircraft is back on the ground. After a big day in the air, Crue and his instructor conduct detailed debriefs, discussing how the flight went, any concerns or issues, the weather conditions and what can be improved for the next flight.

What makes this achievement even more impressive is the dedication Crue shows while balancing all of this with being a full-time Year 10 student. The commitment, determination, time and hard work he puts into pursuing his passion is something to be incredibly proud of.

We are so proud of you, Crue! 👏

You have shown that with dedication, perseverance and a willingness to put in the hours, you can take real steps towards achieving your dreams.

We are so excited to see where this opportunity takes you and can't wait to watch you take to the skies and work towards that first solo! 🛩️

A fantastic day for our U15 Boys and Girls Futsal teams at the Northern NSW Futsal Championships yesterday!
🥈 Girls – 2nd Place
🔥 Boys – Semi-Finalists

BOTH teams have qualified for the Schools National Championships on the Gold Coast at the end of November! 🌴⚽
An awesome achievement from both teams. The skill, teamwork and determination they showed throughout the day was a tribute to their character.

Well done to all competitors and a huge good luck to our students in the next stage! ❤️‍🔥

🎉 National Skills Week Celebration! 🎉

Mrs Lisson’s girls’ groups hosted a fantastic Mini Career Challenge Day, exploring a world of opportunities and fun. Students got creative with baking and cake decorating, dived into aquarium adventures, tried their hand at floristry, and enjoyed hair and beauty sessions – with some games and exciting challenges thrown in, too!

A huge THANK YOU to all the students for your energy, enthusiasm and teamwork. Special shout out to Liam for the amazing musical contribution, and to Ava and Caitlin for focusing on their photography pathways, capturing the day in their wonderful photos.

What a great way to build skills, discover new paths, and celebrate National Skills Week together! 🌟
