🌷Garden activities have been a lot of fun!!

The winter seedlings planted at the end of last term are now thriving, with our beans proudly starting to flower. It’s amazing to watch these little green wonders grow!

For Mother’s Day, students enjoyed creating lovely pots using cuttings from our garden – a rewarding and fun way to take a bit of the SVS garden home to cherish. 💐

As the autumn leaves fall, we’re utilising our gardening skills by raking, collecting, and composting, nurturing the soil to support future growth.🍁

Visual Arts 🎨

This term in Visual Arts, students have been having lots of fun with portraits!

Students explored how to take photos using different camera shots and angles on iPads. Then using those photos, they created puzzle artworks and painted designs onto clear CD cases, adding their own creative touches. 🧩

On Wednesday, some of our primary students had the exciting opportunity to attend the Abilities Unleashed Sports Day in Wagga! Students enjoyed trying a range of activities, including cricket, hockey, basketball, and even bike riding 🚴‍♂️🏏🏀
It was fantastic to see everyone having a go, building confidence, and most importantly, having lots of fun! 😊

Community Mobility 🚶‍♂️

This term, Class 2 will be exploring the past and present during our HSIE unit. To start this unit off, we looked at a video of Tumut from the 1920’s and tried to identify buildings we can still see today. That afternoon, we walked down the street and found what those building look like today!
