Child safety and protection are central priorities at Little Gumboots Early Learning. Our practices, policies, and procedures are continually reviewed and refined to reflect our ongoing commitment to keeping children safe. We recognise the significance of our responsibility and remain dedicated to continuously improving our approach to safeguarding.



This week, our kindergarten children have worked diligently to represent how we advocate for and emphasise safeguarding within our service. Through intentional decisions, actions, and daily practices, they have explored and expressed what safety means in our learning environment. This child focused experience extended from the team collaboration that was recently undertaken at our February team meeting, where our educators sat down with one another and were able to brainstorm and discuss the differing ways that each centre philosophy can integrate and reflect the child safe standards.



Our children are incredibly proud to have their voices and artwork compiled into a book, showcasing the respect, understanding, and recognition of rights that we actively promote.

With Clean Up Australia Day held on Sunday the 1st of March, our kindy children welcomed Cassowary Coast Regional Councils team member Amber into our service and learnt all about the variety of ways we can minimise the waste we create and why we need to do this. The children then went on to show Amber around their outdoor environment, looking at and exploring worms and the worm farm as well as filling up some Clean Up Australia Day bags and doing some colouring ins.
