Fabulous morning at the Y Schools Health Taster Day!

IVET Group was proud to attend the recent Y Schools Health Taster Day, brought together by the team at CheckUP and the Health Gateway to Industry Project.

Students had the opportunity to engage with hands-on activities and connect with industry professionals across a huge range of health pathways. Seeing students lean in, ask questions, and start thinking differently about their futures in health is what it’s all about. Our State Manager Andrew Tazelaar had an enjoyable morning.

Great to be in the room with Queensland's Sport and Recreation community last Friday!

Our Queensland State Manager Andrew Tazelaar and Business Development Manager Andrew Gercken had a fantastic time attending the ACHPER QLD Sport and Recreation Workshop, connecting with teachers from right across the state.

Events like this are a reminder of just how vibrant and passionate this sector is and how much our students benefit when schools and industry bodies come together to strengthen the pathways on offer.

It was a privilege to spend time with so many dedicated educators and practitioners who are shaping the next generation of Sport and Recreation professionals through VET in Schools. We came away energised, with plenty of great conversations still to continue!

If you were at the workshop and we didn't get a chance to connect β€” we'd love to hear from you. Reach out to our team, or drop us a message here.

Great to be part of the conversation on the Fraser Coast!

Earlier this week, our QLD School Relationship Officer Lee Fudge attended the Fraser Coast Connect Event, hosted by the Community Services Gateway to Industry Schools Project β€” a fantastic opportunity to connect with schools and industry partners committed to creating real-world pathways for students in the Community Services, NDIS and Aged Care sectors.

IVET Group is proud to support VET in Schools programs across regional Queensland, and events like this remind us just how much great work is happening on the ground.

Thank you to the Community Services Gateway to Industry Project for bringing everyone together. We look forward to continuing to build on these connections!

What an incredible experience exhibiting at the South East Career and Try a Trade Expo in Victoria! 🌟

As exhibitors, we had the wonderful opportunity to connect with both new schools and our existing school partners, gaining firsthand insights into how students choose their courses, explore their interests, and shape their futures. The impact we witnessed was truly remarkable.

We loved every moment spent there, and we're excited for what's ahead. Stay tuned β€” more events and discoveries are on the way!

Here’s a word from our sponsor:

IVET Institute is a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO 40548) specialising in delivering vocational education and training (VET) to secondary school students across Australia. We partner with schools to give students a head start into two of Australia's most in-demand sectors β€” Health Services and Community Services β€” while they're still in the classroom.

Our Health Services programs prepare students for careers in nursing, allied health, and hospital environments through qualifications including the Certificate II in Health Support Services, Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance, and Certificate III in Health Services Assistance. Students build foundational skills in patient care, infection control, medical terminology, and clinical support β€” with pathways leading directly to further study in nursing, paramedicine, and allied health.
Our Community Services programs equip students for meaningful roles in aged care, disability services, youth work, and social support β€” from entry-level volunteering qualifications through to the Certificate III in Community Services β€” developing the empathy, communication, and practical skills that the sector demands.

By connecting young Australians to these career pathways early, IVET helps grow the future health and community services workforce from the ground up, supporting the very pipeline that the industry depends on.
