The compulsory vests for learner riders are definitely not a fashion statement.
They do however alert other road users that you are new to riding and they will hopefully be more patient around you.

All Learner riders must now wear approved gloves and hi visibility vests.
To be approved, the gloves must be labelled or marked by the manufacturer as complying with European Standard EN 13594:2015.
This includes when you come to participate in your Provisional course.
If you do not have these items, or we cannot see the label, you could be turned away and denied entry to the course.
This is a rule that we must enforce by governing bodies.
Please be prepared.

No Gloves, No vest, No ride!

New rider rules apply from today 1 July.

• Learners: Approved hi-vis vest or jacket required.
• L, P1 and P2: Approved gloves labelled EN 13594 required.
• Remember your helmet (essential), protective jacket, pants and boots.

Gear up and stay safe.
