Vocabulary is so important. I say to all my students the ability to read a word is one thing but to read that word and understand the meaning, to be able to use that word meaningfully is far more important and valuable.

Odds are extremely high that in a typical class of 25 students there will be a few with vocabulary difficulties.

Regardless of the reason for their language difficulties, all these students will benefit from adjustments and additional support.
