Science Week Excursion ๐
As part of our Science Week celebrations, a group of Year 4, 5 and 6 students visited the Kids Research Institute. During our visit, we had the opportunity to meet the new Executive Director, Caroline Homer, and learn more about the important work taking place at the Institute.
Students were encouraged to think about what they would research if they were scientists. We also spent time exploring the Discovery Centre, where we played interactive games and learned more about the human body.
A highlight of the day was touring the laboratories and seeing scientists at work. Students were fascinated by the research taking place and gained an insight into the world of scientific discovery. To finish the visit, we took part in a hands-on activity where we extracted DNA from a strawberry!
The excursion was an engaging and memorable way to celebrate Science Week and inspire curiosity about science and research.
