🚨 Victoria has changed how it ranks skilled visa applicants for FY 2026-27.
The Victorian Points Test (VPT) now ranks every Registration of Interest (ROI) for the Subclass 190 and Subclass 491 visas, using 7 weighted factors:
1️⃣ Age: up to 300 points (ages 20–29)
2️⃣ English: up to 200 points (Superior)
3️⃣ Experience: up to 100 points (more than 8 years)
4️⃣ Education: up to 100 points (PhD)
5️⃣ Occupation skill level: up to 50 points (Skill Level 1)
6️⃣ Partner’s skill: up to 50 points
7️⃣ Annual earnings in Victoria: up to 150 points ($170k+)
Every factor adds to your VPT total, and ROIs are ranked from highest to lowest. A higher score means a better chance of being selected. 📈
