The children at Kinder Hub took part in a Drama Toolbox incursion. They enjoyed an engaging drama activity about insects, including ladybirds, grasshoppers, worms, caterpillars, butterflies, and spiders. The children wore insect costumes and enthusiastically participated in the interactive storytelling and dramatic play.

This activity helped develop their creativity, listening skills, imagination, and understanding of insects. The children relished acting out different characters and listening to captivating stories, which promoted active engagement and learning.

Today, the Nursety & Tiddler children took part in the Butterfly Incursion Program, where they had a hands-on experience with live butterflies. The incursion allowed the children to observe butterflies closely, watch them flutter around the live butterfly tent, and take part in photo opportunities where butterflies could be gently placed on them or held on a feeding stick. The children were mesmerised by the butterflies' colours, movements, and delicate features as they explored this unique and engaging experience.

Nothing brings smiles faster than the smell of fresh pizza, and today our two amazing chefs absolutely delivered! Watching them craft delicious, cheesy creations for the children’s lunch was pure joy. Their passion, teamwork, and heart made the kitchen come alive — and the kids couldn’t wait to dig in.
Grateful for the love they put into every slice. Moments like these make our community feel extra special ❤️

Room 6 children engaged in a deliberately set-up bug investigation lab activity, creating caterpillars with paper towels. By rolling pencils on the paper towels, they made their own caterpillars, which we placed in the tuff tray. We then poured water on the paper towels. Through this activity, the children learn about experiments with paper towels and water, while also developing their fine motor, cognitive, and social skills. We continue to focus on our bug investigation lab through various experiences and experiments, fostering social skills and promoting independent development.

The children in Room 1 took part in an exciting Exploring Sea Animals activity. They examined a range of sea-themed resources, including shells, sea animal specimens, picture cards, and sensory materials. The children showed genuine curiosity as they observed, touched, and compared different sea creatures and shells, using their senses to investigate their unique shapes, textures, and patterns. They also enjoyed looking at books about sea animals and observing the different creatures, trying to recognise the differences between them.

Room 2 explored various geometric shapes including circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles. The educator used a colorful picture book depicting these shapes in everyday objects to introduce the concepts. This immersive experience enhances children’s critical thinking as they analyze shape characteristics, promotes teamwork through collaborative tasks, and encourages turn-taking during discussions and activities.
