Today was all about planting, nurturing, and learning in our vegetable garden! Our wonderful educator, Brooke S., took the children outside to help care for our vegetable patch, where we planted broccoli and cauliflower seedlings.
As the children watered the garden, they enjoyed discussing the life cycle of vegetables and learning about what plants need to grow strong and healthy. There was so much excitement as the children explored where their food comes from and discovered the importance of caring for living things.
We can’t wait to watch our vegetables grow and eventually harvest them to enjoy together!

Our wonderful team bakes a special birthday cake right here on site, and the children come together as a group to sing “Happy Birthday” and celebrate with their friends. Today it was all about our Winter Wonderland! The educators and children have been having lots of discussions about winter, cold weather, and the amazing animals that become more active during the colder months.
To extend the children’s learning, educators created a beautiful Winter Wonderland sensory experience. The children enjoyed exploring winter-themed animals, discovering different textures, and playing with our pretend snow. There was so much excitement as they immersed themselves in imaginative winter play.

Wow, what a fun morning the children have had! Today was all about baking, and cookies were on the menu. The children gathered together to help mix all the ingredients, watching as everything came together to create delicious cookie dough.
To make the experience even more special, each child chose the first letter of their name and used letter stamps to imprint it into their cookie before baking. The children were so excited to see their personalised creations and took great pride in their baking efforts.

With the weather being cold and stormy outside, the educators in Room 8 decided to bring the fun indoors with our colourful parachute! The children were so excited to work together as soft balls were placed in the middle of the parachute and tossed high into the air. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and excitement as the children watched the balls bounce, fly, and fall back down.
Indoor play experiences like this provide children with opportunities to stay active, engaged, and connected with their peers, even when the weather keeps us inside. It was wonderful to see the children cooperating, communicating, and having so much fun together!

Today was all about messy artwork and creative discovery! The children participated in a magical art experience where they used white crayons to draw on white paper. Once their drawings were complete, they painted over the paper using food dye and watched in amazement as their hidden masterpieces appeared before their eyes!
There were lots of smiles, excitement, and wonder as the children saw their artwork come to life. Activities like this encourage children to explore, experiment, and express their creativity in a fun and engaging way.

Today we had the amazing Brooke visit our classroom and put on a wonderful puppet show for the children! 🧸🎭
Together, we explored different feelings and emotions, discussing why we sometimes feel sad, what can make us angry, and positive ways we can calm our bodies and minds when big emotions arise. The children were actively involved throughout the experience and loved choosing dress-up costumes to wear as they joined in the fun and interactive learning.
Through play, storytelling, and role modelling, children are given opportunities to develop important social and emotional skills that support their wellbeing and relationships with others. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, creative costumes, and meaningful conversations throughout the session. ❤️
