🚒 CFA Incursion at Cheeky Clouds ELC Truganina 🚒

Today, our children had an exciting and educational visit from the CFA! The firefighters shared valuable information about fire safety, emergency procedures, and the important role they play in keeping our community safe.

This experiences help children build confidence, develop safety awareness, and strengthen their understanding of community helpers through hands-on learning.

Learning Outcomes (VEYLF):
🌟 Outcome 2: Children become connected with and contribute to their community by learning about the important role of emergency services.
🌟 Outcome 3: Children develop a strong sense of wellbeing by learning strategies to stay safe during emergencies.
🌟 Outcome 4: Children become confident and involved learners through curiosity, questioning, and active participation.
🌟 Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators as they engaged in meaningful conversations with the firefighters and shared their ideas.

This experience also supports the Child Safe Standards by creating opportunities for children to learn about personal safety, build trusted relationships with community helpers, and feel empowered to seek help from safe adults when needed.

Our children explored and celebrated the rich cultures, histories, and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through meaningful learning experiences, storytelling, art, music, and creative play.

This special day reminds us of the importance of listening to children’s voices, celebrating their identities, and fostering respect, inclusion, and a strong sense of belonging. We are committed to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our everyday learning and creating a culturally safe and welcoming environment for all.

At Cheeky Clouds ELC, we believe that caring for animals helps children develop kindness, empathy, responsibility, and respect for all living things.

Through hands-on experiences, stories, songs, and creative activities, our little learners explored how to care for animals by providing them with food, water, shelter, and love. These meaningful experiences encourage children to understand that every living creature deserves care and compassion.
