Science Week at TDPS ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ”ฌโœจ

Weโ€™ve had a fantastic week of handsโ€‘on science learning across the school as we celebrate National Science Week.

Our Y3/4 students headed down to Trent Creek with the River Detective and Resource Smart crew to test our local water quality and learn about caring for our waterways.

Back at school, classes have been exploring light and shadows, investigating our solar system, and diving into design and engineering challenges through basic electronics - a great introduction to circuits, energy flow and problem solving.

Our Science Week pics say it all: curious minds, handsโ€‘on learning, and plenty of excitement!

Fourteen TDPS little legends hit the track in Bendigo on Friday for District Athletics and they were brilliant. They gave their all, cheered each other on, and represented our school with real pride and spirit.

๐ŸŽ‰ ๐—ช๐—›๐—”๐—ง ๐—” ๐—ก๐—œ๐—š๐—›๐—ง! ๐ŸŽ‰

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Trivia Night & Silent Auction, got into the spirit, had a laugh, placed a bid (or two!) and helped make it such a fantastic night for our school community.

Together, we raised an incredible $๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿญ,๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ, which will go towards the development of our new ๐—–๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ข๐˜‚๐˜๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—”๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ - creating a wonderful all-weather space for our students and school community (coming in Term 3/4 2026!) ๐Ÿ™Œ.

We want to give a massive shoutout to the many ๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฏ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜€, ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜€ who so generously donated goods, services and experiences to our auctions and raffles. We simply couldnโ€™t have done it without you!

A huge thank you to everyone for your incredible support. We canโ€™t wait to celebrate with you all for what promises to be a fantastic night!

Weโ€™re also excited to announce that Jinkyโ€™s Food Truck will be catering the event! Theyโ€™ll soon be releasing a special pre-order menu created especially for Trivia Night, so stay tuned for more details.
