Junior Jams kids did such a great job of identifying and practising their (fruit) rhythms today! 🍏🥭🍉🍐

This is our class for 3-5 year olds, and there is still one spot left in each of our Monday 10.15 and 11.15 classes if you'd like to join us for the rest of term.

For kinder-aged kids ready for a challenge.
Junior Jams builds a strong foundation for future music learning through shared musical experiences. We introduce early music literacy and discover a wide range of instruments. Our learners will explore music concepts and develop skills through singing, percussion, improvisation, games, composition, storytelling and of course, a good old jam sesh.

With small class sizes, we ensure individual attention while fostering a supportive group environment where children will gain confidence, encouraged and motivated by their peers.

A great first week of term!

🎶 Welcoming so many new families to our little community.
🎶 Hearing from multiple parents about their little ones saying ta and ti-ti around the house.
🎶 So many new babies (and babies on the way!)
🎶 Seeing how much confidence is growing in your children.
🎶 Having my son in class three days in a row and him not being sick of it!
🎶 First term ever to have a class on every day. (And my voice mostly surviving all the extra singing).
🎶 A very fun millenial Sing at the Nook sesh.
🎶 Piano, guitar and voice students returning to lessons and clearing out the prize box.
🎶 All of the smiling faces, little singing voices and dancing feet.
🎶 The music-making. Always.

On Fridays (11:15AM), The Music Nook is a place for mums, parents and caregivers to sing, connect, and breathe. Whether you’re a mum-to-be, a dad, soothing a newborn, navigating the teenage years or anywhere in between and beyond, you’re invited to come along to sing for you.

No prior singing experience? No worries! All voices and comfort levels are welcome.

Join us to:
🎶Sing songs that uplift and resonate.
🎶Connect with other mums in a supportive and fun environment.
🎶Take a well-deserved break and indulge in the power of making music together.

Although this group is all about nurturing you, this is still a child-friendly zone (and what a beautiful thing for them to witness!). There will be some toys and activities provided for your children or BYO, but you are also more than welcome to attend if you are child-free.

Tea and coffee provided.

Class information:
Sing at the Nook sessions run for 40 minutes, however you are more than welcome to stay after the class to chat - this is all about community!

This session may be used as a make-up for any other class.

Investment:
$50 for the term (welcome to pay in person if you are enrolled in another class, or head to the website).
$8 per casual session (In-person payment on the day. Tap only).

Welcoming the next generation of music-makers!

SO impressed with these Junior Jams kids this morning: bringing together the past term of learning by composing their own farm animal/vegetable rhythms. And it goes all the way back to the foundations set up in All In classes from the start of last year.

These are 3 year olds, who are connecting words to their syllables, linking this to their understanding of rhythm and stick notation, and keeping to a steady beat while they say and play what they have created! On top of it all, they are learning that making mistakes is a part of learning, and that with practise, hard things get easier. Music learning is about learning resilience, too. 💪

If you're interested in your 3-5yo joining a Junior Jams class in Term 4, please get in touch. Limited spaces will be made available soon (Mondays only at this stage, but expressions of interest welcome).

We're about to head into the last couple weeks of term 3! Where has the time gone?

I've had a blast singing songs all about the farm this term. We've met all the different animals, planted vegetables, taken our tractors for a spin and gone on horse rides. Our pitch matching and rhythm recognition have come such a long way, too!

If you'd like to join us for the last two weeks of term, it isn't too late. There's availability to come along to All In on Thursdays at 9.15, and Sing at the Nook on Fridays at 11.15. Get in touch to learn more.

A little reminder that current families have until Sunday to reserve their place in a class for term 4 - I'll be releasing any places not reserved on Monday.
