🐻🐾 We're Going on a Bear Hunt at Little Saints Warragul! 🐾🐻

To celebrate Book Week, our adventurous learners laced up their walking shoes, put on their high-vis vests, and set off on a real-life storybook excursion inspired by We're Going on a Bear Hunt! 🌲🍃

As we walked along the trail, our little explorers used their imagination to navigate through long wavy grass, squelchy mud, and swirling winds—keeping their eyes peeled for any hidden bears along the path!

📚🎩 Book Week celebrations are in full swing at Lang Lang! 🐛📖

Our educators and children have been getting into the Book Week spirit by dressing up each day as some of their favourite book characters! 🌟

And the fun doesn’t stop there… we’ve introduced a special Book Week menu featuring some delicious book-inspired treats! 😋📚

To celebrate Book Week, our little learners and educators are tuning into the beautiful music hidden inside our favorite books through our "Symphony of Stories" theme. From classic tales to brand-new adventures, we are discovering how every story has its own unique rhythm, voice, and harmony! 🎻🥁

How we’re bringing our Symphony of Stories to life?
📖 Storytime & Soundscapes: Bringing book pages to life with musical instruments, sound effects, and dramatic character voices!
🎭 Dress-Up Magic: Seeing our favorite literary characters walk through the doors and share their stories with friends.
🎨 Literary Art: Creating art inspired by famous book illustrations and building our very own storyboards.

🌼💛 Bright Smiles & Yellow Blooms: Our Daffodil Day Visit! 💛🌼

Our little hearts were full of joy this week as we returned to visit our wonderful friends at the local aged care facility! 🎨✨

In honor of Daffodil Day, the children sat side-by-side with the residents to paint vibrant yellow daffodils together. The room was buzzing with happy chatter, shared stories, and plenty of laughter—especially when our little learners decided to show off some of their very best dance moves! 💃🎶

🔬✨ Celebrating Science Week at Little Saints Princes Way ✨🔬

Our little learners turned our Kindergarten room into a bustling research laboratory this week as our little scientists celebrated Science Week! 🧪🎨

Our curious learners put on their thinking caps to test, observe, and investigate the wonderful world of chemistry:

🥛 Magic Milk Magic
We watched in awe as dish soap broke the surface tension of milk, causing vibrant food dyes to swirl, dance, and burst across our plates in real-time!

🫧 Fizzing Bicarb Bubbles
The children explored chemical reactions using bicarbonate of soda and liquid, making predictions about what would happen and watching the dramatic fizzing reactions build!

Learning the alphabet is so much more fun when you can roll, squish, and shape it yourself! 🎨✨

Our little learners have been exploring letter recognition and phonics through hands-on playdough play. As they identify, form, and match different letters, they are turning abstract alphabet concepts into tangible, 3D shapes they can see and feel.

Rain didn't stop our adventurous little learners as they suited up for a wet-weather Bush Kinder excursion to Alex Goudie Park! 🥾✨

With their boots on and rain jackets zipped up, our little explorers were brimming with excitement from the moment we arrived. They jumped straight into investigating the winding walking paths, taking in the sights, smells, and textures of the park's towering trees and lush natural surroundings. 🌲💧

Our little learners have been diving into the world of chemistry and exploring cause and effect through open-ended scientific play! 🧪💦

Using vibrant colors, water, pipettes, and mixing tools, our mini-researchers took the lead to experiment, investigate, and make their own exciting discoveries. As they stirred, poured, and observed the colors shifting before their eyes, they made predictions, tested new ideas, and shared their "aha!" moments with their friends. 🌈

🚜🌾 Scoop, Crunch & Explore: Construction Tray Fun! 🌾🚜

Our mat was filled with eager smiles and curious minds today as we unveiled our latest taste-safe Sensory Construction Tray! 🚛✨ The setup featured a gravel pit made of crushed Weet-Bix, loaded construction vehicles, and hidden sensory marbles waiting to be unearthed.

Our little learners gathered together and jumped straight into discovery mode. Some drove their diggers and dump trucks through the crumbly cereal to carve out roads and tracks, while others were completely captivated by the tactile experience itself—touching, squeezing, sprinkling, and tasting the dry, crunchy Weet-Bix! Searching for the smooth, hidden marbles added an extra layer of wonder as little hands scooped and transferred their treasures. 🌾🛞
