Year 5/6 students recently buddied up with the Prep students to build box cars. There were some colourful and creative cars built over a number of lessons.

The cars were then 'raced' around the oval (safely of course 😄)

Last term our Wellbeing team ran some lunchtime activities for the students raising awareness for R U OK? Day.

R U OK? Day promotes four core steps for supportive conversations:

1. Ask R U OK?
2. Listen without rushing to fix.
3. Encourage action.
4. Check in later.

Well done to our five students from Years 4 to 6 who represented Chairo Traralgon in the SSV Track & Field District competition at Newborough.

The day was wet and cold, but this didn't stop the boys from doing their very best. Special congratulations to Jensen, Toyosi and Kobe who have qualified for the next stage (Regionals) in their events.

This term, students in Years 1 to 4 took part in four AFL Victoria sessions that focused on developing AFL skills and introducing them to the rules of the game.

It was wonderful to see the confidence and skills of students grow over the course of the lessons, and they thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to put their learning into practice by playing a game.

Book Week is always a fun part of the school calendar and the costume parade is a big highlight.

On Wednesday, students and staff dressed up in their favourite book character and took part in book-related activities throughout the week.

Thank you to Mrs Halliwell for coming up with creative and fun ideas for the kids.

Preps to Year 2 ventured into wild territory recently when the team from Wildlife Wranglers came to visit.

Students were taught about the eating and sleeping habits of a variety of reptiles and had the opportunity to touch and hold them...even a baby Crocodile!

It was definitely one of the highlights from Term 3 for the students and staff.
