Every eligible Townsville household (including those renting) can now log on to Council's website to access 2 x tip vouchers.

Or you can choose the option of a 2 cubic metre flexi skip which are big enough to fit items like couches, washing machines, bikes and other large items.

This new portal is easy to use, and it allows residents to choose which option suits their household better.

You will be asked to present your e-voucher and identification at the tip.

A heads up for Monday 27 July…

At 2pm AEST, compatible mobile devices across Australia will receive a test AusAlert emergency message (this includes most phones, as well some smart watches and tablets).

The alert will make a loud warning sound and vibrate, even if your device is on silent or set to 'Do Not Disturb'.

The test is being carried out to make sure Australia's new emergency messaging system is working as intended and in the future will be used for important warnings about natural disasters and other emergencies.

While this is an important public safety initiative, an unexpected alert can be unsettling or distressing for some people, particularly those who have experienced trauma or are affected by domestic and family violence. If you know someone who may be impacted, consider giving them a heads up before the test.

People who keep a secondary device for safety reasons may also wish to switch it off or put it on aeroplane mode during the test.

5 years on and yoga still intrigues our little learners. Today Junior Kindy practised their dinosaur yoga with Miss Myrna. The children showed a strong interest in the dinosaur yoga poses and extended it by doing the poses themselves counting from 1–20 each pose, following and imitating their actions from the teacher led group time. In the comments below is some pictures of our friends today! We even have a couple of siblings of children from 5 years ago 😊

Don't forget this Thursday at 2:30pm is our Easter parade. We can't wait to see all of the children in their Easter hats that they've been busy creating. 👒
