Early Childhood Educators’ Day recognises & celebrates the work of Australia’s educators in early learning services for their wonderful contribution to the wellbeing and healthy development of the young children in their care.🤩🥳

Today it was all about them and we loved spoiling them and celebrating their achievements. We acknowledge and appreciate the love, care, and passion they bring to the service and the relationships they have with the children and families. 🤩

Thankyou to the families who also brought in sneaky gifts, and left beautiful notes this was so appreciated. We do what we do because of our love and passion for the children and industry having your support behind us just makes everything worth it so much more.😍

Book Week has commenced.... 📘📙📗

Its one of our favourite weeks as every day is dress up day. We love seeing children and educators be creative and see what book character they have turned themselves into for the day.. 🤩

We saw many characters today and some specific educational activities for the children to participate in.. 🙌

We look forward to seeing who comes through our door this week, secretly the educators love this just as much as the children do..😜

Friday is for Jenes for Geans Day...

Did you know?
- 1 in 20 kids face a birth defect or genetic disease, like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and life-threatening metabolic disorders. That's 12 kids born every minute worldwide.

So today we wore our Jeans 👖👖 to raise awareness and our thoughts to those children and families impacted by these genetic diseases.

2023 is also a milestone for Jeans for Genes 👖👖- which celebrates 30 years of helping to save children's lives!
In that time, millions of Australian's have taken part and donated a combined total of $63.5 million for medical research.

It Pyjama Day👚😴...

The best way to get through Monday is not having to wear clothes... 😝

Our children and educators loved coming in today in their favourite PJ's.

We wanted to have this special day to support little people with BIG Dreams through the The Pyjama Foundation.
Kids in care often bounce from home to home and to different schools which adversely affects their ability to learn and thrive. Without support, poor educational outcomes can lead to disengagement in school, mental health issues, unemployment in the future and poor life choices.

Our very own Beetroots...

Growing beetroot with children not only teaches them about gardening and plant life cycles but also promotes healthy eating habits and a connection to nature. It's a great way to engage them in a hands-on learning experience and in still a love for growing their own food.

Together we grow and achieve!🥰

Swinging our way through Friday...😄🥳

Swinging helps develop fine motor skills—grip strength, hand, arm and finger coordination. Swinging develops a child's core muscles and helps with the development of balance.

We love that we incorporated the swings into our natural new environment upgrade and the children express this daily too us. Children's voice is so important to not only their development but to the learning in which we plan and implement on a daily. 🥰🥰

We have been busy for Reconciliation Week at Little Zebra. Our children and educators have been learning about our histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

During our art activity in creating footprints and through using our own creativeness, we spoke openly about how we walk along side others and respect and continue to together walk towards reconciliation.
